Also haven't matched with anyone in ages I wonder if that's a correlating factor lol #Nah I've made plenty that weren't just for me - went and looked at some of my old YCH stuff on DA and it inspired me to make one again <3 #It really has been such a while and they're so cute ahhh #I like that there's a little of each in each other's specific icon hehe - more of Max in Dex's tho! Feels fitting hehe #Always getting up in his space! Just can't leave him be #Also got me thinking about the colours I gave them again.... Pink and green are such a cute and strong contrast #Soft red for Max hehe #Dex is just such a green - VUX aside lol #With this kind of structure it'd be pretty easy to include the Captain as well! Switch out Dex ah mean lol #Just gotta make a poly version I guess lol - finally figured a way to one-up my original version! Haha #I think it'd be pretty easy honestly - and with a center icon you could have any many in-the-middle characters as you (I) wanted lol #Who would be the bookends on the outside of my Helix polyship... Unfortunately this picrew is gone (weep) so I’m double glad I snagged some Helix lads before that happened!

Max with an eyepatch - or maybe ZEX, in that case? My headcanon stands either way lol, I love how universal a white button down and khakis are, there’s my guy!

Dex’s trench coat and red tie and tired eyes! And his little hair swoopies at the back! Yes!!

I always want to put Caleb in a varsity jacket but can never decide on an Actual style once I’m there pft - red though! Red jacket, red shoes, simple accessories on the Captain. He can be very sparkly still! I like the idea of him with pins and buttons haha

That's a Max! Darker skin and hair and clothes? Dex!#Brown hair brown eyes in red - a Caleb #Easy to look at and recognize! Easy to recreate normal humans #Makes their little touches stand out - an eyepatch - a particular hairstyle - accessories or subtle features #It's nice! There's room to play in the space and yet returning to center - keeping them simple - still returns some satisfaction #How they look down to their base! It's nice #Sigh... Well before I got back into playing #I just always love Zums they're always waiting in the wings of my mind #Hehe #That particular Peeky isn't a perfect matching of anyone but they're not that far off from Zana I suppose :0 #No reference doodling strikes again lol #I have since looked Very Closely at Zum designs they are always so interesting to me <3 #I'd like to study their rarity sometime again too ahh the fun! I really wish Zumwhere wasn't a Deluxe unlock hweh #Spider plush! Fake fan that's not even a Webkinz! I wish it was tho #No we picked him up while out Webkinz thrifting - did find my lilKinz Lioness during the same run! Score!#But I mean - he's a plush spider how could I not get him he's so cute #I believe his name is Peepers as well like - I had no choice here I Couldn't Not it was very important #He lives in the plush hammock in smol and my room now :) And he's very cute! #Doodles #Helix #Max Vyer #Dexter Favin #Vent #More of this #What can we do but pick up the pieces #With a habit that long-running and ingrained it'd be hard to just Stop even if the backlog was destroyed #Not really a choice to Do or Not Do - it's just What One Does whether there's a scaffold to build from or not #The worst part(s) for me really is the memory of people - bringing my ADHD!Max headcanon to the very forefront here haha #To be fair even if he doesn't have That Particular reason to have a shaky hold on his working and/or longterm memory - his drug problem #The idea of not having access to my memories of the people I love/my history/ideas/events or stories that have moved and shaped me #It's probably the scariest thing I can think of #Coupled with the lack of guarantee of tomorrow - that anything that Has existed until now will Continue to exist #And now I don't even have a way to look back to when it did. Total oblivion #Obviously not All of it but I don't even know what I don't know anymore it's just fully gone #So - some more comfort doodles of the boy <3 Shared grief half a grief and all that #He's always lovely and I love him ♥ Important-to-me lad #I'm not sure the last three-set translates exactly - losing your own diary/history/memories can be very self-alienating #No pun intended haha #Max's dream journal was always to do with ZEX and DAX and the Captain once he showed up - a life different from his own #I suppose if you wanted to go really meta with it - since Max is /a/ ZEX and his concept as a character is to be a version of him #Who is he without ZEX? Who are we without our trajectories?#I drew him with his eye there so it's assumed he'd be Max but a Defeated ZEX posing that question to Dex would be interesting too #Changes the ''me'' in question from Max to ZEX - either way their source is the same!#Being actively discouraged from and punished for his creative outlet - different circumstances but a similar sadness I suppose #The Loss and Aimlessness for sure

Will that actually fix anything?''#Very much pulling from Dexter's meetings with Max at the Institute there hhhhhh as if I needed more feelings about it #Eco_Mono* did such a beautiful job playing Dex - so much to consider hehe - but there was one question that I can't stop thinking about #''Why would you want him back?'' and Dexter didn't really have much of an answer - he was barely more than a concept at the time!#Having had the opportunity to see his character grow into himself has given me Such brainworms about that question ♥♪♫#Very want to explore it <3 #In the meanwhile it's fun to pit these two against each other haha what an odd matchup ♪#I've only barely drawn the Beldam before now that I think of it! And I think only in her final metal-spidery form never in her mid form here #She's fun :D And so tall! Dexter finally feeling small for a change haha #Her having to fight adult selfishness would be quite interesting I think - something tinged with but not quite the same as loyalty #She can relate to the possessiveness at least hehe I'm sure he'd appreciate the comparison #*My mistake!
