These Headcannons are based on season 1 dexter. These may not be accurate but i love this man and this is what i imagine him being like!(p≧w≦q)
You are the only person Dexter doesn't have his "normal person" persona with.
When you and Dexter are watching a true crime series or a movie he will point out the flaws or inaccuracies in it (even the tiniest details like how its "impossible" for blood to spray in that angle when the victim is facing a few degrees off; or that the blood is a little too watery) and you will tell him to be quiet and watch the movie but every few minutes you can hear him mumble little comments under his breath and you kiss him to shut him up...but his indifference turns you on and the situation escalates.
You know Dexter is a killer, (you found his blood sample collection but you told him immediately about it and reassured him you still love him and he didnt kill you) so every time he comes back from the forensics lab he will tell you random information about a case or his next victim and you listen to him just to hear his voice.
During sex Dexter would be very technical. Constantly using the scientific names for his and your body parts. You are very shy and embarrassed about it but a hidden part of Dexter loves it.
Dexter would be very caring during love making because he learnt how to show affection through years of assessing others behaviour and actions. (he 100% read anatomy books and had oddly sexual conversations with Angel Batista to find out what women want and what feels the best)
Dexter would definitely want kids. After being in a relationship with Rita and spending time with her kids he realised that he wants to have biological kids of his own with you
