Diabetic G7 bloody sensor discussion underneath the cut:
So I put a new sensor in, and blood squirted out! Like everywhere! I had read on here though, that if it bleeds, you should leave it in till it malfunctions, and then they'll be willing to replace it because it's a "sensor malfunction" right?
So I put pressure on it with paper towels, and it eventually stopped bleeding. Like 15 minutes later.
So I clean up and put an op-site over it to catch any rogue blood, and wait for it to malfunction. It doesn't. I figure the readings must be wrong, so I calibrate. It's within 3 points. Okay I'll just calibrate a few times today to make sure it's functioning, right? It is always only 1-3 points off.
I leave it in and calibrate a couple times a day, and it's only, at most 3 points off. I went through the WHOLE SESSION this way, and it was ALWAYS accurate! I got the full 10 days out of it!
So I plan to leave ones that bleed in as long as it doesn't malfunction or calibrate wrong.
I hope this information helps someone! Which is the only reason I put it on here! 🤓
