Sorry for the vent/rant, Iām still pissed and need to get this off my chest!Ā I fucking hateĀ my job!Ā Iāve been screwed outta of so many promotions/pay raises and now myĀ āBossā is trying to screw me outta transferring!!!!!
Iām trained in many different aspects for retail, and yes, Iām going toĀ āgloatā/ātoot my own hornā here.Ā Iāve been doing Retail for about 20 years now, and I can possibly do the Managers Job just as good and/or possibly better then some of the managers we have.Ā Iām aĀ āCashierā but they had be do so much!Ā Overriding, getting money/change for the Cashiers, helping the Cashiers when things go wrong, give them their breaks.
Only find out that all of these things that Iāve been doing for Minimum Wage, is with a position that gets a pay raise!Ā People been asking if I want to do other things and I say yes.Ā They talk to the managers and itās,Ā āOkay, weāll get on.ā Or Okay,Ā āWeāll see what we can do.āĀ And nothing happens!
Today!Ā Oh, Today takes the god damn cake!!!
One of our employees that works Seafood left earlier this year.Ā I was told by a member of management that Seafood needs help and the Seafood Manager asked if I was interested!Ā I said yes!
I talked to the Seafood Manager and she is excited to have me.Ā Has no problem with the days I need off for School.Ā I go and talk to myĀ āBossā and itās nothing but a freakinā power play!Ā Basically saying that another co-worker was approached and asked.Ā MyĀ āBossā said that he didnāt say anything b/c he thought the co-worker and me knew about it.Ā And then he said, that the co-workersĀ āreplacementā is already coming in!
Seriously?!Ā I just talkedĀ to the Seafood Manager about meĀ transferring there and now your pulling this?!Ā Not saying to me, but trying to pull this thinking that Iām just going to cave?!Ā I literally told them, that I just talked to the Seafood Manager and now their trying to pull the whole well, itās not his job. The Store Manager has to take care of it.
And heās wondering why so many people are leaving?Ā Why Iāve looking for a new job?Ā If I find out that heās been sabotaging the interviews saying that Iām not a good employee without coming right out and saying just to keep me?Ā Iām going to find a way to stay a float, so I can quit!!!!Ā I can take this anymore!
I canāt leave until I find another job, or get fired, but at the same time there pulling this shit?Ā I donāt know what to do yet.Ā But Iām going to try and find something!
