It’s incredibly funny to me that, even when Toby confirmed Suselle in the story, the fact that the several hours before the sun set were spent by basically trying to have a real date but also incorporating Kris into everything they do.

Like, the hammer game is a funny gag when Susie and Noelle do it, but also Kris and Susie just have a blast biking each other and Noelle and Kris always manage to hit the bell.

Writing Noelle and Susie as queen and king gives a funny dialogue line, but doing Susie and Kris means that Noelle retaliates in a very funny way, and doing Noelle and Kris makes Noelle get really nostalgic about a personal anecdote and even copies you instead of voting for her and Susie.

Entering the church and drinking the juice will not give you any choice besides having Kris and Susie pour juice into each others mouths while Noelle does a spit take.

Even the Ferris wheel, which was the big point of chapter 2 and the start of 4, has variations with Susie and Noelle, where Kris and Susie talk about Ralsei and then make faces at Noelle from the seats, and Noelle and Kris have a weirdly intimate reminisce sequence that has no right to be so cute considering they aren’t the couple at the end.

The bit that kills me is that neither Noelle or Susie ever really object to Kris being a part of any of their shenanigans as the day progresses, because while they might say something about it, they never object. Kris is just there and neither of them feel like they are interfering even when you fully take over the events and take them everywhere.

Even the Berdly dialogue counts because they don’t let berdly tag along, but Susie defends Kris’ place in their little group and Noelle doesn’t disagree.

The mental image of the three wandering about the festival thinking the date between Susie and Noelle is going well, and everyone besides them are thinking that those three are probably dating each other and having a really good time with each other just…

it was really fun making these little animations even if it came out choppy.

After drawing Caine's art for A VERY LONG TIME I really needed some outlet with fucking spamtenna. And, well, I got it. Back to TADC I guess.
