First mountain bike 🚵‍♀️ ride of 2020! Long overdue .. I've been dreaming of sweet single-track lately. Finally got a 9 speed cassette to fix the drivetrain on my mountain bike. Unfortunately, the frame has a crack on the chainstay ... so I marked it with a sharpie so I could judge if it was getting worse or not. Thankfully, both the bike and me survived 👏🏼💪🏽🤙🏼 @scarlyfive and I got close to 30km of sweet dirt riding. The tree cover provided much needed shade! Two different views of my #yearinsport2019 and some highlight photos. It was a great year for riding ... multiple centuries supporting various charities, first full century of 100 miles/162km, 200+ km stage race at #cranktheshield, a few KOMs and an 8-hour mountain bike race. In all conditions, from rain to sleet to snow to radiating sunshine. Lots of kilometres with good friends - new and old - made the year really enjoyable and a blast. Cool and cloudy to start but then it warmed up ... another stellar day for a quick rip through Heber Down. Bike still not shifting right .. hanger replacement mandatory 😢 @rwashbr cleaned those rocks with ease ... but then has to walk back up the hill lolol Showed Rod the Park of Reflection and told him a bit about Carl and this spot was so important.
