Treat yourself to the rich and creamy combination of dulce de leche swirled through chocolate brownies and sea salt flakes sprinkled on top. These brownies with salted dulce de leche are a great treat for any event.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/3 cup cocoa powder. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 cup dulce de leche. Sea salt flakes, for topping.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour a 8x8 inch baking pan. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until the batter is smooth. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Dollop spoonfuls of dulce de leche over the batter. Pour the remaining batter over the dulce de leche layer. Use a knife to swirl the dulce de leche into the batter, creating a marbled effect. Sprinkle sea salt flakes evenly over the top of the brownie batter. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs clinging to it. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
