Unlike Martianvision, Despair-The-Zero challenging the readers to cut the page with scissors to active "Desper-Ovision" that will change the story.

The back page reveals John accidentally shot 3 innocent people while reality perceiving, by cutting the panel out, it's fundamentally removed from the narrative like Dispair say.

I edited the first two pages to give you the idea of what it would be look like if you bought a physical copy and cut off the 4th panel.

you are incredibly funny and sometimes i feel sad at how frequently you self deprecate because you have a lot of very clever insights that i did not have at your age. and i want you to know i'm really overthinking my response because i don't want to come off weird LOL but we are not entirely dissimilar and that makes me feel both really touched that i've seen your ideas developed and have been a part of you learning and advancing your theory and understanding and how this is reflected in your politics and art and also. idk. you're a pleasure to have on the dash.

this is such a tough question but i'm going to cheat and say mike mignola or greg smallwood since those two were the inspiration my friend and i came up with for the comic we're working on LMAO (and my style refs in general)
