4: 5 things on your desk and why they are there-
I’m at work so we’ll do my work desk.
1) Sample materials: so I can send them to customers for their projects.
2) UPS Ground Shipping Map: so I know how long things will take to get places.
3) Post-Its: so I can color code things on orders
4) Order Stamp: so I can stamp my paperwork to properly code things like inventory and customer type
5) SINGLE STROKE ARIAL FONT (engraved on .050 Brass) because there was a great debate over whether or not ARIAL was a single, double or triple stroke engraving font. (It matters because double and triple are priced differently) so the engraver (who happens to be my husband) made this for me so no one questions my pricing on this font again.
6: How do you respond to unsolicited opinions?
I like to try to have an open mind so if it’s not outwardly rude I’ll consider it. But if I disagree with it or it doesn’t benefit me I won’t give it the time if day. If the person insists and they’re rude... I have no problem telling them off.
7: Are you guilty of giving unsolicited opinions?
Probably sometimes. But I’m well intentioned, I swear!
10: Tell me the most recent happiest moment you’ve experienced.
Last Saturday I had KILLER training sessions. One of my sparring partners talked to my coach about me afterwards and said that rolling with me was like being under a “barrage of attacks”. This dude has 80 lbs on me, easily. It just felt really nice to be recognized like that for something that I love doing with every part of me.
