There’s a sense of tranquillity as he sits by the river bank, fishing poll bobber in the water and small son on his lap. The peace of it all brings contentment, a tune humming from him as he looks down at the child in his lap. He doesn’t ever think he’ll lose his wonder over the fact this little boy is his; that somewhere along the lines he came to deserve something so good as Gohan. No, that wonderment would never fade.
“When I was a boy I used to use my tail to fish~” Past shared lovingly as he frees a hand, running it gently through brown fur, cautious because he knows how sensitive it can be. Thoughts turn back to the water before he casts eyes upwards, squinting at the sun before ruffling Gohan’s hair.
“It’s hot. Why don’t we take a dip? I can teach you to swim~” The water was certainly slow enough.
Still, Gohan seemed to be the shy sort in comparison to how wild Goku had been in his own youth. Without waiting for an answer he set the rod aside, lifting Gohan off his lap, and stripped himself down before stepping into the water and floating for a moment with a content rumble. “You can do it!” Encouragement given as he paddled to the shore, gesturing for the boy to remove his clothes and join him.
A bit of fun never hurt anyone, especially in the hot embrace of summer.

HE WAS WINNING AT FIRST , considering he would dodge at his older brother’s attempts at containing him , as he was full of vibrant ENERGY , which is what they got by feeding him sweets . he was literally bouncing off of the walls , and next thing you know , he’s rolling around and running through the mud , CHUCKLING at the other trying to tail behind him . good riddance too since the HALF BREED undoubtedly reeked of the outdoors and all his brother was trying to do was to get him clean . what a sibling scenario really , the sight was of bonding , laughs, and purity ; just another day in the SON household . finally, would he find himself swung over the muscular shoulder of the other , where his giggles just continued to erupt . ❝ ha - ha !! uh oh, the GREAT SAIYAMAN got me !! i guess this means time to get clean , huh ? ❞

Being a grandfather was still somewhat odd to him, but as he held the small curl over his head jiggling her about as he had once done her father he decided not to pay much mind to it. Goku had missed a great deal in his death-- including the birth of his second son-- but he finds a deep sense of relief that he didn’t miss her. All giggling and laughing as she flailed, a grin finding its way onto his face.
“Did she have a tail when she was born? Never got around to asking Chichi if Goten did.” Idle curiosity though he found he didn’t care either way, these things seemed much more important to Vegeta than they were to him which likely made sense all things considered.
Tossing her and catching her again a wild giggle came from the child, a laugh of his own matching before he offered her back to her father. “She’s cute!” As most babies were, but those from family did always seem to be cuter~
