♃ I was recently interviewed for @Desert_Magazine ‘s new article on Astrology! ⠀ Here’s a repost from them:⠀ ⠀ One of the biggest misconceptions about astrology, @evelyn.vonzuel says, is to read your sun sign in your horoscope. It’s actually best to read your rising sign (also called the ascendant). “Many people think astrology is based only on our sun sign, without taking into consideration the other planets,” explains the founder of @astrom.council. “There are actually 10 planetary bodies that influence our chart, as well as numerous stars and asteroids that we utilize in our readings.” Astrologers look at these bodies independently, as well as their relationship to one another. Growing up in a Christian home, Zuel, says she searched for a system of thought that resonated with her more than scripture. “I didn’t feel connected to religion,” she says. “I wanted to find something that helped me navigate the human experience.” Seeking self-awareness and healing, she turned to astrology and hasn’t looked back.
