As the sun sinks lower on the horizon, shadows stretch and shift, accentuating the jagged edges and layered rock formations that tell stories of millennia.

A hike through Golden Canyon in Death Valley National Park is certainly a great opportunity to be awestruck! Around every bend of this wonderful trail is a new wonder to behold. On this hike, I was struck by the spectacular tones and textures of Red Cathedral and the wind-eroded formation to the right as they were bathed in mid-day light that was somewhat diffused by some high clouds.
