The perspective is nice, but need to refine a bunch of it including her tail, and whole right arm and hand. And maybe add some pawing hands of one of her bois :3

Okay. I do expand on it yes! In both my main fic DOLL PARTS and in a recent Voss centric one shot, ruiner set in Doll Parts verse.

So I came up with the word 'var'cha' before I got deep into DP. And this is its definition for canon verse from my dictionary:

So in Doll Parts, the githyanki are cut off permanently from the Astral Sea, and have been for 50 years (in the current time of DP) and there are many githyanki born in the verse who will never, ever know it. And it's become a longing. A home many will never know, or see again. There were githyanki (and githzerai. and many of their dragons) left behind and lost on the Astral Sea too. Their loss was just...so much.

So from it being a word to describe the Astral Sea, home, and things that look and remind them of it - it becomes an even more meaningful world in Doll Parts because of that emotional attachment. Especially to those who once knew the Astral Sea. Felt it. Lived in it. Loved it.

Voss sees the beauty of it in Vanquish's scars (in all their verses) but it's much more poignant in Doll Parts and becomes relevant in other ways. And var'cha just kind of sings in his head when he looks at her and touches her sometimes. As some of you may know Adilshar is my OTP ship name for them as a whole, but for Doll Parts, it's Var'cha.

Var'cha however in Doll Parts is also a word of pain and grief. Of loss and something one will never get back. Of longing and at times, love. There is so much packed into a single word, and the githyanki revere it in this verse in a way they might not in canon or others.

In summer, or the anniversaries of the Arrival, you can see a slither of the Astral Sea through the Tear brighter than any other times of the year. But still untouchable. Unreachable.

So, in its way, it also symbolises much about Voss, Vanquish, their lives and their relationships, including together. <3

I think I'm mourning the loss of a lot of people and community who used to engage a lot more with me and talk to me about my chars and writing, worldbuilding, art etc and I've lost a lot of it and I try hard to foster and engage with community a lot still but there's so much silence in return.

You are absolutely correct and right. I also believe Voss and Qudenos fucked. Maybe only once, or maybe it was every few hundred or thousand years lol (maybe it was to fuck around for some fun. Or maybe it was more sad and 'I miss Orpheus and I need comfort from someone who knew him even though I don't wanna say it') I see Qudenos as a very proud dragon, but his friendship and loyalty to Voss is beautiful imo.

And haha YEAH you're right. Especially when they were young. I feel like (to me) Orpheus has a bit of a complex relationship with the dragons because of (however you interpret it) his Mother's involvement in acquiring their pact. But yeah this is definitely something they would have done. I think Orpheus was definitely a thrill seeker, and felt I think, invincible and unbreakable especially when he was younger.

Wonder if I should write some fun dragonback sex for the young wild two now and Qudenos putting in some extra danger checkpoints for them lmao.

Ahh hey lovely!!! Yess <333 more collaboration in fandom 100% it's my fav part of fandom. Like. It's the heart and soul of it for me!

I find descriptions quite easy. Especially sensory. So things when it comes to intimacy and how things feel through senses or a fleeting moment, but intensely. I guess that is why to me I find writing sex quite easy because it's a very sensory rich experience. On the other side, I also find writing world description easy too. I love making places feel alive.

I reallllly find dialogue such a challenge. From day one, and even now it's what I either spend the most time on, or what I'm constantly reworking. Writing 2nd person and interactive fiction has helped massively improve my dialogue as it's forced me to focus on it much more.

I'm also not very good at overarching plots! The intimated inbetween moments are my forte lol.

And hmmm. Any themes I wish I could write more. I kind of what to explore more around the absence of family and parents, and just family and parenthood more in-depth, with the contast of family units existing and thriving and the githyanki adopting these family bonds and units if they wish (in Doll Parts, because of their circimstance). The theme is always kind of there with my characters but in the background and as an after effect on their now lives. Voss had no parents. Vanquish was created. Orpheus did, but it was a complex mess and he was a child of necessity. I do have a possible plotline that really brings it to the forefront for them, so it's something to think of.
