À la naissance de son fils, un homme sent tomber sur ses épaules tout le poids du monde. Écrasé par le quotidien, réfugié dans son lit, il entre alors en lui et s'engage sur un radeau dans la traversée du marais. Avec un sens aigu du détail qui fait mouche, le rappeur Biz explore le côté obscur de la vitalité qui nous fait tout voir en noir et souhaiter ne plus jamais quitter le lit, cette embarcation de fortune qui nous permet de sonder le néant de nos dérives.

Mon avis:

Que d'émotions vécues dans ce petit roman. On y retrouve la version de la paternité un peu moins exploitée. On entend souvent dire aux mères de faire attention à elle, de s'écouter, de détecter tous signes de dépression. Cependant, pour les pères, c'est tout aussi important! On suit un nouveau père dans sa paternité, on y voit toute la palette d'émotion qu'il peut vivre. Parfois des joies, mais surtout de la détresse, de se sentir seul, de se sentir mieux seul même. À lire absolument pour toutes les personnes qui ont des idées noires même si elles ne sont pas parents!

The Derive at Petersham was an experience that most would describe as uncharacteristic. It’s extremely rare that you would find someone who claims to have gone and wondered around a new suburb for the sake of absorbing the nuances of the suburban life in hopes of finding or replicating the concepts of the unknown and ambiguity explored in my initial post. Entering this walk around was refreshing in that we all entered this experience without knowing the outcome or what we would find. My particular extract from the derive was the collection of doors and their colors, their shape and how a person’s door might have said a lot about that person’s house and as an extension, the owner themselves. This data visualization is a result of my findings:

The restricted lack of modern devices including our phones sought to enhance the derive experience, which we had experimented for almost 2 hours. Doors with frames, doors with glass panes, double doors, whilst a door might tell you so much about the owners, the ambiguity is what consumes the entire experience.
