Hi!! Apologies, I donāt know if your inbox is full of these types of asks or not, but I was curious about something. I havenāt been a regular player of SWD apps for awhile so Iām unsure. Itās understandable that any apps that might need an internet connection would be unaccessible. But if youāve bought routes in the paid apps, can you still play those as long as theyāre installed on your phone?? Itās upsetting to hear that the only english translation of Toki no Kizuna and HNK4 are going away.
Hello.
It has nothing to do with internet connection. When an app is shut down, itās gone forever. If itās removed from the store, it can still be played but not re-downloaded.Ā
All the SWD games will be shut down, except those 6 games I mentioned. Those 6 will however be shut down on iOS and you can transfer them to Dear Otome. These 6 apps will be fine for Android and Facebook, no need to worry. Only iOS who needs to transfer their accounts (or start all over again if they want to).
So sadly, any purchased stories from the paid apps will be gone forever. We can hope they add them to Story Jar one day.Ā
Remember the dates: end of Feb is gone from the app store but can be played. End of March is shutting down and canāt be played.
I too am really sad to see Scarlet Fate (HNK4) disappear soon⦠I really love that game.Ā

Demonās Bond (Toki no Kizuna) Yukimura Kazuya & Amagiri Kazutake
While there are flaws with how this Otomate prequel to HakuoukiĀ (260 years earlier, Sengoku period, Battle of Sekigahara) fits into the original Hakuouki-verse, I did enjoy a number of aspects of the game.
I liked the fact that Kazuya (who is, admittedly, my Saitou-equivalent) is carrying and double-wields ShotsurenĀ andĀ DaitsurenĀ (i.e., Chizuruās kodachi and Kaoruās katana, which are a matched set).
For those who have played Kyoto Winds, thatās Senās Yase home behind Kazutake in the last image. Ā As has been mentioned before, Otomate seems to have tried to draw a much closer connection between TnK and Hakuouki with Kyoto Winds (how successfully depends on perspective and willingness to overlook some definite changes, arguably not all for the better). Ā In any event, images for the exterior and interior of the home of the Princess of Yase were obviously deliberately kept the same.

I know it's really late, but damn... those shoulders

Toki no Kizuna (2012), Hakuouki's prequel.
Kazama Chitose and Suzumori Yukina From Hakuouki's prequel : Toki no Kizuna.
Have you ever wanted to see Saitou dual-wielding swords?
Okay, could just be me. But in this case his alter ego (because letās be honest here) is using Shotsuren and Daitsuren, the Yukimura blades AND reputedly Suzuka Gozenās own swords. š
I will say this: I picked the right route.
Big surprise, my favourite characters are a Yukimura who is suspiciously like Saitou and an Amagiri who reminds me of both Amagiri and Harada. š I donāt mind being predictable - we all are which is why these games do well.
Shin gets awesome lines though. I just canāt imagine him with anyone other than himself⦠š
On the whole, Iām having fun, which is cool, and Iām enjoying the history (Japanese and Oni). And most of it doesnāt align too badly with previous headcanons or the framework of Teachings of Demons, so yay!
This game isnāt Hakuouki, and I *really* miss the voice acting, but itās not bad either: I categorize it on the high side for a mobile adaptation of a spinoff.
Final note: as @kurokiorya has pointed out, the art is done by the same artist who did Code Realize. š Sorry @shell-senji⦠I know that makes it worse!
PS shall I go on sharing screenshots? PPS Iāll tag any spoilers as db spoilers. PPPS My theories on furies are working out well so far!
