A demifictive is a headmate who's partially a fictive and partially not, if that makes sense. I'll use our headmate Yami as an example:
Yami started out as her own being, not connected to any sources or anything. And then we had complete radio silence front the whole system. Yami was the first to reawaken, and she noticed the character Yami Yugi from YuGiOh. Noticing that she had so many of his personality traits and mannerisms, she began to wonder if she was some sort of genderbent fictive of him. Her connection to Yami Yugi was so intrinsically linked to her own identity that she wasn't able to separate herself from him.
We asked fellow systems on Tumblr for advice, and they said that Yami may be a demifictive, so we use that!
Think of it in the same manner as like demigender, where you're partially one gender and partially another.
Another word for demifictive I think is fuzztive? I dunno, someone might need to correct me on that.
