HIT-BOY AND SPANK NITTI JAMES DROP YEAST TALKIN' (DELUXE) ALBUM
Fresh off a jam-packed year of releases in 2025, GRAMMY Award-winning artist and producer Hit-Boy has just reunited with longtime collaborator Spank Nitti James for Yeast Talkin’ (Deluxe) – out now, along with an accompanying music video for "BRIDAL SHOWER REMIX" (feat. E-40).
Built on a foundation of Inland Empire grit and Los Angeles polish, the original release of Yeast Talkin' in November evoked the natural chemistry of two artists who have spent years sharpening each other’s sound bolstered with a stacked, eclectic lineup of features that included everyone from Flint's premiere shit-talker Rio Da Yung Og and Detroit's BabyTron to the elusive wordsmith Mach-Hommy and GRAMMY-nominated jazz musician Terrace Martin, to West Coast staples Lefty Gunplay, 03 Greedo, AZ Chike and Big Sad 1900.
The Deluxe Version follows Spank Nitti James recently turning himself in for an upcoming prison sentence, as Hit-Boy continues to show support for his longtime friend and collaborator while featuring seven additional tracks, including a remix of "BRIDAL SHOWER" from the original project with an added verse from E-40, the official release of "ONLY UP FROM HERE" featuring Stacy Barthe and "LAST DAY OUT", which Pitchfork recently highlighted as "a thumping yet melancholic return to form for Hit-Boy".
The new Deluxe follows Hit-Boy's recent VERZUZ head-to-head showdown against Mike Will Made-It, where he played his most iconic production credits ranging from Kendrick Lamar's "Backseat Freestyle" (1B+ Streams) and Beyoncé's "Flawless" (350M+ Streams) to Drake's "Trophies" (1B+ Streams). After spending the first month of the year producing A$AP Rocky's "STAY HERE 4 LIFE" (feat. Brent Faiyaz) and dropping YouTube-only singles like "NBA CENTEL", as well as "CROW BARS" (which was inspired by a real-life event where his studio was broken into), Yeast Talkin' (Deluxe) serves as the lastest release in Hit-Boy's ongoing prolific run.
After gaining independence with the help of his close friend and collaborator Jay-Z, who helped him exit the 18-year publishing deal in July, Hit-Boy has been inspired by an influx of creativity and freedom. First releasing singles like "What's the Deal?" (1.5M+ Streams) to break his silence, Hit-Boy then linked up with fellow GRAMMY-nominated artist / producer The Alchemist for a collab album GOLDFISH, for which they have also hosted screenings for its accompanying short film which was directed by Abteen Bagheri and stars both Hit-Boy and The Alchemist themselves, as well as Danny Trejo and Rory Culkin among others.
On top of his recent production credits on Jay Electronica and Westside Gunn's "Best Wishes", TiaCorine's "Backyard" (feat. JID), as well as Blueface's recent single "6"6'" (feat. Zoe Osama, Spank Nitti James, OC Chris & Supparay), Hit-Boy will also serve as Executive Producer for streamer N3ON's upcoming album, for which they created a 2-day writing camp and experiential event that featured appearances from Sexxy Red, Diplo, Iggy Azalea, Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign, and generated over 1 Billion views across all platforms in the first 24 hours. With the next chapter of his career in high gear, Hit-Boy is embracing his influential role as an all-around creative and artist in modern-day Hip-Hop while hitting a hard reset and amplifying his creative freedom, on which Hit-Boy shares, “I’ve never felt more empowered as an artist… after 20 years in the game, I feel like I’m just getting started".
