Plot: Years ago, Sycamore Jin's mother disappeared into the "human world" and never returned. Fearful of the world outside the village borders, the other phoenixes forbade Sycamore from leaving to find her mother. But her days trapped in the nest are numbered.

When Sycamore saves a strange, featherless boy from a fire, he reveals himself as a human prince. Impressed by the phoenix's heroics, he offers her a position as his Royal Guard. Our sheltered firebird gratefully accepts his offer.

Finally, Sycamore can search for her mother - and learn about humans in the meantime. Will she soar in this new world, or will the darker side of humanity clip her wings?

Setting: Delra, a vast world inhabited by a diverse and powerful race called “humans”. Home to numerous cultures, all with different values and flaws.

What is the worst thing that has happened to your character? Why was this so horrible? How has this experience shaped their personality and actions?

I think the one of the characters who had a horrible experience, outside of ships is

Surprisingly Kiki, I have most of my ocs bs in a save slot so I can remember it and fixing some things til I get it right and I usually put some of my irl experience in there so YEAH XD

Kiki isn't an ordinary mime and she has most of her past blocked, so when you ask her about her child she'll just give you struge.

The only people she could trust when was young was her imaginary friend, Biscuit, they were there for her when no one else was. Though her parents were struggling financially and almost lost the house twice. The home was tense, but never fought infront of Kiki.

Soon a house next door caught on fire and little Kiki didn't know how it happen and being the child she was used her little plastic watering can and tried to be "helpful", but it wasn't doing anything cause her father didn't even let her near the house at all and she was just water grass. The fire eventually, thanks to wind, made way to their house catching it on fire as well.

"Biscuit!" She yelled trying to go back inside, but her mother grabbed her picking her up so she wouldn't go in, "Its to dangerous for you to go in." "But Biscuit they are in there." Her parents looked at each and sighed cause they believe Kiki made up Biscuit and as they walked away from the house.

There was an invisible figure, banging on a window in the blazing fire.

Biscuit was real after all.

This did affect Kiki a lot and making friends was hard and she feared fire, she did however become more independent as years went on and then she meant Aaron. Aaron was something, but since she was rude to him, their friendship was there. Flynn came soon after and they bonded as well

Though she lost a friend, she gained two.

Ship wise?

Marcell and Delra

Marcell kidnapped her so she could be his ans only his. Marcell feared rejection and being alone, being the monster as well, though during this the two finally did start over and got to know each other more.

Delra did however become more cautious who's she is friendly with from that predicament.

She still accepts Marcell apologies when he says sorry for being horrible, etc etc.

Sycamore’s Feathers

Sycamore loves her feathers. Generally they remain hidden under long clothing, her wings clipped so her arms can fit into sleeves. She needs to pass as “human” for the time being. But she eagerly anticipates the day she can show off her plumage in all its fiery, colorful glory.
