ahhh okay okay. see. i don't know much about pedro pascal (aside from the fact that he is attractive xD) and i'm afraid i've yet to see anything he's starred in? (i do want to see triple frontier at some point though, i think!) however, after seeing trailer stills (and rewatching tlou 2 playthroughs) i think it was a pretty okay casting choice! it definitely through me off, but i think it wont [read: hopefully] take away from the story line and our beloved joel as we know him.
but yeah, i was also really bummed about tlou being made into a live-action, and a tv show at that! the uncharted film really bummed me out (i am a huge, HUGE nathan drake fanatic) and we all know that the michael fassbender AOC thing was a mixed bag of beans sooo.... my hopes aren't too high honestly. there's also the fact that like, we may very well get a part three, and just like i've been telling my wife.. i really hope having a tv show of the game doesn't ruin that chance for us, yk? i'd really like to see a third part that has some more finality to it and that hopefully gives ellie (and even abby) a "happier" ending. but that's just me talking lol.
I get that!!! I'm absolutely the same and have conflicting feelings about a good game getting turned into a show. I'm not really into Uncharted, but I have a lot of nostalgia for Halo and the casting they did for the more recent show of Master Chief/John-117 was,,,,disappointing lol. And the show that came out in like 2013 was not the best, either.
And I didn't even watch the Michael Fassbender Assassins Creed thing LOL the shortcomings of movies from video games is so much info has to be condensed and it never feels like it's done right. I think a show has a better chance of doing well, but I am still weary for sure and ALSO don't hope it results in a cancelation of any potential TLOU 3 games! Though I was somewhat satisfied with the ending of 2 and personally would be fine with the 2 being the conclusion to TLOU games.
