These easy Asian style fish cakes are packed with flavor from garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. They're crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a perfect appetizer or main dish.
Ingredients: 500g white fish fillets, such as cod or tilapia, finely minced. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. 1 egg, beaten. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ginger, minced. 2 green onions, finely chopped. 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped. Salt and pepper to taste. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: Soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, cilantro, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a large bowl with the fish mince. Mix everything together well until it's all mixed in evenly. Make small patties out of the mixture that are about 2 to 3 inches across. Warm up the vegetable oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. Place the fish cakes carefully in the pan. Cook for three to four minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Take the fish cakes out of the pan and put them on a plate with paper towels around it to soak up any extra oil. You can eat it as is or serve it hot with your favorite sauce. Have fun!
