The series is NOT perfect.

The writing — and sincere + genuine apologies to one miss armentrout on this— cannot compare to sjm’s. But sjm is just otherworldly when it comes to her creative genius IMO. anyways.

I hear you. The plot is… a LOT. It starts off easy enough, but then you’re RUNNING AND RUNNING AND RUNNING bc wtaf is going on in these books??????

Breathe.

Power through.

My assurance to you: (like all things) the second time around is much, MUCH easier to comprehend — you can absorb it all properly

annnndd I get that’s frustrating but it’s just reality. because *then* you can actually appreciate the From Blood and Ash Series for its brilliancy— which it IS. So many (too many) of the quotes leave me breathless. The devotion is withering for ME. But tbh, I think it’s so fun to be able to align the puzzle pieces once you have all the tidbits and the in&outs of the plot. feels like a mystery in which im the detective… and the smut. that is the reward.

THE POINT OF THIS WHOLE FING THING IS THAT…

Poppy is a certified badass. A sweetheart. Someone so passionate and determined AND BRAVE it leaves you astounded. Her journey to self discovery is genuinely heart warming; encouraging. She shatters the walls we’ve all dreamed about tearing down.

And she’s fucking funny.

And awkward.

And so, so violent.
