So I took a color theory class semester. Our final was that we had to draw a picture, then copy it and change the colors to give it a different vibe.

Dedrick: *pondering the meaning of the post above this*
Last Line Tag
HI IT'S BEEN A THOUSAND YEARS. I have basically every tag game I was put in this year saved to a very, very large bookmarks folder on my toolbar and at this point I'm too afraid to poke at it.
@zmwrites tagged me in a last line tag and I just wrote some lines i needed an excuse to share, so thank you for that!
ANYWAY here's Dedrick's stream of consciousness morphing into his instinctual Ashon Lyricism going "hey i can use this" and just--
I saw the stars like few ever could. I saw the men that made them. They called me by name. I thought it was only mine. They gave me a destiny. The Curse given from the divine.
No I don't know where this came from either. I really hope it survives rewrites.
ANYWAY I guess I'll tag uhhhh @ashen-crest @magic-is-something-we-create @akindofmagictoo and/or anyone else who ALSO needs an excuse to share some lines they just wrote. GO NUTS
TCoH Excerpts that make me happy (in no particular order): Linguistic Marvel
Emily returned to the counter, and Dedrick began inching toward her. āSee you later, G-win.ā
āItās Guh-in,ā they corrected. āLike gin with a hard G.ā Dedrick paused, frowning at the ground. āItās short for Meguinis Elson the Sixāā
āGin is spelled with a G?ā Dedrick interrupted. āNot a J?ā
Guin stared up at him, fascinated. They tapped their chin. āRaskai with a distinctly rural Artriana-Ashon dialect, but you have perfect Neri grammatical structure,ā they whispered quickly, circling him. Dedrick watched them closely, tamping his pockets to make sure he didnāt get robbed again.
āGuin!ā Emily interrupted. āPlease get back to work.ā
āHeās a linguistic marvel, Mom!ā Guin said.
āGuin,ā echoed Emily warningly.
Guin sighed, backing down the aisle. āFeel free to come by anytime and just talk, Bakery Boy.ā
Dedrick watched them go. āItāsā¦itās Dedā¦never mind,ā he muttered, joining Emily at the counter.

SIMP
Flash Fiction Friday but I went over the word limit and couldn't shorten it
and thus I'm not going to tag them. but I still want to post it to prove I'm alive.
(now do you see why I had to do it) (also, is it crazy that i haven't done one of these in literally a year??)
I'm going to reblog this tomorrow with the sequel comic I drew while at work but i forgot my little drawing journal there so it has to wait
WIP: The Curse of Hyetal
POV: Rose
WC: 1612
Summary: After taking Guin home one night, Rose hits a little roadblock.
yes this is the new take on Rose hits Dedrick with her car. no this isn't final.
~~
A wave of raindrops burst on Roseās windshield, the pitter-patter amplified by Guinās open door.
āIāll come back tomorrow,ā they promised. āWeāll figure this out.ā
This, Rose echoed silently, nodding as her best friend shut the car door. The journals, sent to her by Beza days after she died. That creepy poem left in the middle of that empty journal. They found me before the storm, Rose recited, staring at the raindrops. She had to chuckle just a little bit. Obviously, the poem was about the hurricane, but she entertained the thought that the poem was the journalās own.
Tomorrow couldnāt come soon enough.
It was nearly midnight, but Roseās eyes landed on Guinās neighbor, her grandmotherās bakery, and wondered how tired and pissed off Lee would be if she showed up just now. Lee may be an old baker, but she knows things. Mostly about Taeleon, mostly about Garvin Street, but who knows what kind of wisdom inhaling flour all day gives you?
No, no, Rose told herself. Sheās going to be up at five. Let her sleep. She took her car out of park and gently pressed the gas.
A flash of light came from Leeās door. A streak of red.
Thump.
The meet-cute I originally had planned for Dedrick and Rose: They have a nice and/or tense conversation after one of them experiences a dramatic event.
