Here's another post about the typical morbid curiosities of a grown-up ex-goth… @spaceintruderdetector makes it easy for me with everything she shares on her blog…
Creepy was another magazine of short horror comics, or should I say IS, because I was researching it and I find it's been revived by another publisher. I've already talked about the history of this format and even shared some examples in English and Spanish, so I won't repeat myself.
What I will do is recommend again that you read these old comics. Many premises and tropes of later horror films seem to have originated here, and although reading a lot of them can sometimes leave you with a mixed feeling—there are bad stories, as with everything, and many of them are now predictable or too similar to other things we've seen before—it's a highly recommended and undemanding read. Each story is only a few pages long, and if you don't like it much, you can pick up another one to see if you like it more than the previous one… And that way you end up reading over a hundred pages, and it's the middle of the night on a weekday, and you haven't even noticed how much time has passed! That's happened to me before!
Here's a collection of it on the Internet Archive. It doesn't matter if it looks disorganized or incomplete at first glance; are self-contained stories, so you can read as many as you like in any order. Go for it!
