Two submissions!
Deathscythe of Gundam Wing. Definitely would be the fun dad.
Sandrock of Gundam Wing. Would be the stern yet loving creator. Enough AI intelligence to force his pilot to escape and then cover said escape by exploding itself. Maybe not the best parental moment, but proves its protective streak is lightyears wide.
They've both been accepted!

Hi everyone! This is a display I put together feature two of my favorite lines of Gundam, the Deathscythe (Gundam Wing), and the Barbatos (Iron Blooded Orphans).
Each trio is two High Grades and a Master Grade with the base form as the closest HG, and the rear MG, and the final form as the middle HG.
Deathscythe side:
Up front is a Clear Colour version of the HG Deathscythe with no modifications. I like it without the eye stickers, and haven't gotten around to paint or panel liner. I might keep it as a straight build for a while.
Middle is the HG Deathscythe Hell TV version that recently had a standard release (after being trapped in P.Bandai). Simple matte topcoat on this one. I've been debating kitbashing this into a custom, but holding off. The wings/cloak attach in an odd way, I had expected them to be mounted to the backpack.
Backline is the MG Deathscythe (EW), my first kit! And the first one I painted! I have learned so much since this build, such as "use Nippers", "prime before painting", and other basics of the hobby! Every couple of years I come back to this kit and update it with new techniques and paints. Still one of my favorites, even if the articulation is restrictive.
Front of the Barbies is the HG Barbatos (4th form?). This is the Gundam that brought me back to the anime after leaving Wing back in the 90s/2000s. A colleague had recommended IBO and I got hooked on the physicality of the fights. Painted, panel-lined, and weathered. I ended up with 3 of this kit due to how cheap it was, and how easy to customize.
Middle and looking rough is the Barbatos Lupus Rex! Originally painted a dark and dirty magenta, then added pink and blue highlights for some contrast. The red flare at the eyes and the V-fin crown are third party pieces bought through Delpi Decal... And the missing left arm from and accident! The shoulder joint snapped in a way that I was unwilling to repair at the time, but made the most of with some strands of Cat5 communications wire from my workplace. The suit looses and arm in the anime, so this is a happy "accurate" accident.
Last is the MG Barbatos, an amazing kit in every way. This is the most recently developed MG I love every single aspect of it. The inner-frame could be displayed by itself and still be great to look at! I painted the entire kit with glee, used a shade wash to lightly weather the armour and act as my panel-liner, then used holographic decals from Delpi Decal, which look amazing in the sun.
Thanks for checking out my post! Happy building!
