@deathistardy hi! i don't exactly know what discredits being a "manga child", to quote you, from being against the palestinian occupation. i do like manga, but i also try to inform myself about politics and the real world as often as i can, and the palestinian cause is very dear to my heart because as a muslim, i have multiple palestinian friends whose families are personally affected by this issue. that is not to say that i'm bringing religion into this, as it's not appropriate, but please, before assuming that i'm just an uninformed brat and doing exactly that which my post is advocating against, take the time to educate yourself outside of what western media tells you. i am not saying in any way whatsoever, if this is what you think i am, that jewish people are horrible. the very point of my post is to say that the occupation is not fueled by the jewish religion, it is simply fueled by insensitivity, hate, and an unwillingness to compromise where compromise should be a priority. there are many jewish people, living outside and inside of israel, who do not support the occupation. would you call them antisemitic, too? this past november, the day after the election, i marched against trump with thousands of students at my university, in particular with a group advocating for the end to the palestinian occupation, and there were a number of jewish people who were a part of that group. please try to refrain from associating the issue with the religion. it may have started out that way, but religion hardly applies anymore and it's unfair to assume being against the occupation automatically associates itself with antisemitism, as there are many jewish people who do not support it either and this discredits their stance. i hope i haven't come off as offensive and that we can carry a more respectful dialogue, but if you respond to this insensitively once again i won't hesitate to block you.
