I wrote a poem for a contest, it took place on the discord server fandoria from @trishlovelace (You can find the link in her bio https://trishlovelace.tumblr.com/). I want to share it with you.
I should have said it
I will always remember the day, I once said I would never pray, but you came into my damned life. God, it was a fucking crazy drive.
The taste of whiskey on my tongue, I don’t know why it took me so long, to tell you what I feel about you and me and what we were supposed to be.
And ‘Highway to hell’ was our love song, and now I’m alone and you are gone, The light flickers but I don’t care, I only wish, crying, you were there.
You don’t know how hard it is to be, without you I can’t be wild and free, and everything is meaningless, I just want to lay my head to rest.
I’m lost, the darkness swallowed me, I’m just laying here in a bloody tee, And when I close my eyes I see you, Smiling, you’re eyes are sparkling blue.
You said this three words I tried to forget, and I just want to tell you, yeah, I regret that I stood there and stared like a kid, I was lost for words, I should have said it.
