#deaged au

I wasn't ever planning on sharing my art cause I haven't been able to like it recently. I really feel like I suck at rendering, proportions, yada yada. At the same time this idea won't leave me alone, so I just had to indulge myself ♡

Okay but like imagine the Arkham Knight got de-aged and Dick finds him running through the city. He's only like... three apples tall guys 💔

Summary: After an unknown incident turns O!Ciel (Astre) into a five-year-old he's left at the mercy of Undertaker and R!Ciel.

Or I just wanted an excuse to write a de-aging fic about O!Ciel.

“Astre,” Ciel starts, holding five fingers up. “I will give you until I get to one, and then-”

“Shut up!” His brother screams, flailing his arms in an effort to push him away. “Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!” Ciel grabs his arms in firm but gentle hands. His brother continues to squirm. 

“Five.” His brother tries to kick his shin, but misses by several inches. “Four.” Astre screeches bloody murder, wrenching one of his arms free, and takes a swipe at Ciel’s face. Again, he misses, though not by much. “Three.” Ciel lets his brother go, and he tumbles to the ground. Astre glares at him. 

“I hate you!”

“Two.” His brother tries and fails to spit on him. The saliva slides pathetically down his brother’s chin. Ciel stands imposingly above him, giving him a moment to come to his senses.

“I. Hate. You! Both of you!” He cranes his neck to Undertaker who watches the scene with both immense entertainment and slight worry. Still, he remains silent, letting Ciel deal with his much younger brother on his own terms.

50% of me wants to say baby Robby because IT'S ADORABLE. He's Bambi. He's brilliant but a walking disaster. Hyper and unaware of his surroundings. The Pitt Crew is exasperated with trying to save him from himself because their Robby is kinda GRACEFUL and this? THIS? How the FUCK did this adorable twink survive into adulthood? HOW?

The OTHER 50% of me wants to say Robby in Carter's body because that body is a mess of limbs to begin with but Carter's learned to somewhat navigate it and now you've put a BRAND NEW BRAIN into it and it's like a old janked up car with a driver who's never say in the driver's seat. WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO WIGGLE THE WHEEL AND PUMP THE BRAKE TO START IT?????

Then AGAIN... Carter in Robby's body is a MESS because Carter has ZERO spatial awareness and now he's in a body that's older with a different center of gravity and this body HURTS when it falls FUCK. So, he tries to be extra careful which makes it WORSE.

You can't make me choose. YOU SHAN'T.

Robby who has all his memories but he's back in his 23/24 year old body, which in addition to going back to being bambi on ice with his coordination, absolutely NO ONE is taking him seriously. He tries teaching (and hes completely correct) and everyone is looking at him with "aweee" eyes

does he stomp his foot? Does this body have young muscle memory as opposed to mature Robby? I bet he stomps his foot

Also they know their Robby gets embarrassed so easily and blushes so fast but young body Robby is somehow even worse and everything EVERYTHING gets him going red

And this body even does the "cry when frustrated" thing

And Robby is so over it yes he is

Okokok so I’m not really a HUGE fan of those deaged batfamily member fics where they make temporary older brother Damian the bad guy or whatever garb tbh so lemme spitball really quick:

Something something, Dick Jason and Tim are temporarily deaged. Damian is an older teen at this point and tries not to laugh at how untrained their forms are at whatever younger age (8-10ish idk). They have their memories and are like …you do know normal kids our size are typically like this, right? Damian knows this but given the fact that his brothers are bats, their childhoods never really occurred to him as too much different from his own in terms of training and danger. Hell, he’s never really taken time to think about their upbringing until now. Why would he? He has a moment to think about his conflicted feelings regarding his own upbringing with the good, bad, and hideous.

The deaged brothers fall into old habits they had growing up. Dick’s high energy, corniness and old “holy blank Batman” pre crisis call backs, Jason’s old feeling of trying to survive on the streets and feeling too small in his own skin after everything he’s been through, and Tim being reminded of the normal life he could have had before, well, everything that’s led him to this situation. Ofc all the deaged boys are, at some point, reminded of their parents, and it’s an out-of-body experience for them.

After a few chapters of everybody going through it, they decide to just let this ride out until the status quo is reestablished. During that time, the deaged brothers decide to be little gremlins to Damian and because Damian is that boi he’s easily able to counter them. Snark for snark. Prank for prank. Sarcasm for sarcasm. Fun is had by all and they all get a chance to connect in ways they hadn’t had a chance to before. It’s nice. Dick’s still a trained acrobat and Jason is still a street smart kid. They did some cool stuff around these ages. Tim is really just a kid. Sure, he still has his memories but he’s not going to be anywhere near as good as the others as he’s not familiar with his current child body having his young adult skills. (Yes they make fun of him for it but it’s the fun ‘brothers ragging on each other kind’, not the whump Tim junk.) look I just wanna make fun of my favorite character really just being some upper class white boi next to a circus kid, street kid, and assassin raised kid

Oh. And Bruce is there I guess.

Idk. He’s going through it, seeing the boys so young. He sees his first son Dick around the age he met him and is metaphorically gut-punched because ‘oh look at my small son who I’ve had the longest relationship with’ and oof ouch the EVERYTHING we’ve been through up to this point hurts. Same with Jason but more ‘damn. I really grabbed a second kid to replace the one I fired. A CHILD that had NO similarities to me in the way Dick did but like… Batman needed a Robin’ (post crisis Jason ofc). Bruce still feels terrible for Jason’s death obviously. Then Tim. Bruce is like ‘I really had to be put under the care of a Child because of the grief I was put under by my own doings. Like. I really had the third one be my emotional support Robin after I f’d up with the first two.’

Bruce watches Damian from afar seeing how far his son has truly come since the first day he met him and seeing him be a cool older brother figure to the deaged brothers makes Bruce see how much heart Damian has. Has ALWAYS had. Lock tf in Bruce.

Let's not forget Cass!

Cass honestly is pretty chill about the whole deaging thing. She’s accepted her past and the murders she’s committed as a child because that was how she was raised. It sucks but it happened and all one can really do at that point is move on and hopefully forgive themselves. She’s obviously the most dangerous one of her deaged family and Dick Jason and Tim know better than to try and pick a fight with her. Forget her getting princess treatment, she’s getting champion treatment. Ain’t nobody winning against this little girl.

If anything, she’s enjoying this time being a kid again. She gets to briefly live a childhood she never had. Watching fun cartoons, playing with dolls, dressing up in cute clothes without blood staining them, etc. Plus she can talk now, something she was never taught at this age. What a wonderful experience.

And if she wants the remote or last cookie, she’s getting it. Back off boys, you’re not winning this fight.

Bruce tries not to look at her and see that video he saw all those years ago that he spent SO much time being in denial of at the time. How could such a sweet looking little girl like Cass have killed anyone? Cmon Bruce, lock tf in frfr.

Like the bats not knowing anything about Tim’s childhood (like the fanon one) so they only really meet Tim when he became robin and got to know on surface levels things like his parents and stuff, not much about his hobbies, like knowing he takes photos but not about what

So Damian came everything normal then wizard or a curse or anything and boom baby Tim

Except it’s baby stalker Tim

So he is confused bc “did I feel asleep while watching the Wayne’s and they took me in their house?!” So he scapes back to his empty drake manor before any awkward confrontation like “and your parents?” Or “why were you outside my house?” Could happen

So they notice that he scape and search for baby Tim bc duh

Tim is very confused and anxious at the state of his now abandoned manor, feeling his parents will kill him when they come back and found this, everything dusty and empty, why does his bedroom turned into a storage room? he looks around and found his camera except now is kinda dusty and without charge which is weird

Eventually night and patrol time, Tim, wanting a sense of normality, goes his usual and decides to take pictures of the bats. After some time the bats found him hanging upside down, like Spider-Man wannabe, from a balcony on a very high building taking photos and they almost have heart attack bc wtf!!

And Tim is freaking out even more bc why are they walking towards his direction?!

The point is they discovered how weird and stalkerish baby Tim really was and how upsetting he can get, talking too formally, standing too straight like a soldier, with calculated eyes of everyone’s intention yet he isn’t an expert yet to hide his expression with the way his eyes are shinning at the sight of the bats

While saving baby Tim from himself they end up with Tim’s camera and seeing the pics in there

They got a bit emotional with pics of jaybin or funny stories and others they just admired how Gotham pass through the time, seeing old buildings and random pics of cats and light poles

But mostly very concerned that someone this tiny was constantly was doing this kind of stuff

They reveal to Tim some stuff about the “future” for him to stay put and Tim believes it bc everything is so similar yet so different, what other explanation is out there? He accomplish his dream of “my parents sold me to one direction Batman”

But in the typical way of Tim gets adopted early aus where “he is so baby but so weird but so smart omg but so small”

His brothers takes advantage that Tim still on his robin fanboy era and still kinda naive, to mess with him

If you are an older brother yk the thing when you tell you lil bro to do stuff for you, and they obey before they get to their rebellion era where they discovers they can say no?? Yeah something like that

I doubt Dick would do it but Damian definitely would, he will thrill in not having the youngest title anymore, he can be the one bossing around and manipulating lil Tim in “you adore robin and I’m robin so when you were bigger you always followed what I said, now do this”
