1. Please describe your background. Background information includes: Is your parents hearing or deaf? How many siblings do you have? Are they deaf or hearing? How your family did communicate with you? How do you feel as a family member, meaning: do you feel left out, or included in the family activity, conversation, and etc. How long have you been deaf? How do you identify yourself?
2. How do you feel about cochlear implants? Would you want one for yourself?
3. Which do you prefer – mainstreaming, self-centered or residential school? Why?
4. How do you look for a job? Have you experienced job discrimination because you are deaf?
5. Are your friends mostly hearing or deaf and how do you communicate with them? Who are you most comfortable with hearing or deaf individuals? Do you work with mostly hearing or deaf people and how do you communicate with them?
6. Do you attend to deaf community events such as Deaf club? Please explain if you do or not.
7. How do you feel about current technology being used in the deaf community; such as: VP, Cellphones (smartphones), FaceTime (I phone), Social Medias, and etc. Do you think these technologies will change how the deaf community/culture functions in the future?
8. How do you feel about hearing people learning ASL? Why? Do you code switch with the hearing ASL learner? If so, why?
9. Have you used an interpreter before? If yes, why, when, how did you feel about using interpreter? Does it benefit you? When do you use interpreters?
10. Do you use interpreter for your appointments? For example: Doctor or dentist. If so or not, why or why not? How do you feel about going to the hospital or ER room with or without an interpreter?
