Taia wasn’t feeling too well. First she felt heavy in her stomach. Now she felt something coming up. Was it in her throat? Yes! She ran inside to the ladies’ and into one of the stalls.

Ari had been standing nearby and witnessed the whole thing. She went into the bathroom just as Taia was coming out of the stall. “I thought I would be the only one dealing with morning sickness.”

Taia grimaced thinking of the taste still in her mouth, and now Ari’s comment. “I’m- I’m not-”

“I’m just teasing.”

ROUND 0 - The Beginning

While other couples opted for more romantic interactions.

Ibis remembered the theory about Pat so he went and asked aunt Vera. He wanted to know how did she know about Lori before he told anyone in the family.

“I didn’t send her any doll. Your grandma didn’t tell me until after her birthday.”

“But then… What about Mirah or Zaet?”

She stared at him with confusion. “Oh! The imaginary friends. I’m guessing Lara just assumed it was me because I had an imaginary friend when I was little.”

“You did? What happened?”

“I grew up?”

Ibis thought about that. Vera was never accused because there was no DNA evidence or a witness. The only real reason Lara even knew was because she knew all the vampires in St Erast. Now with Blaze… She'd been accused because her DNA was found on scene, but so had been the others’. And it had been her now ex-buddies who actually did the deed.

So Ibis dialed. “Hey. Do you know where your ex is?”

On the other side Blaze chastised him for calling without a good reason, and then questioned why he wanted to know about her high school friends.
