Marvel's Daredevil: Vincent D'Onofrio to return in season 3 as Wilson Fisk
Vincent DâOnofrio is set to reprise his role as crime boss Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, in the third season of Marvelâs Daredevil, EW has confirmed. The actor starred in the first season of the series about the blind lawyer-slash-vigilante (Charlie Cox) as the primary villain, and made a brief return in season 2 when Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) was sent to the same prison in which Fisk had been incarcerated.
Fiskâs return wonât be the only change when it comes to Marvelâs small-screen version of Hellâs Kitchen. Daredevil season 3 will also be swapping showrunners: Erik Oleson (The Man in the High Castle, Arrow) will be taking up the mantle for the series, following the departures of Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez as co-showrunners of season 2. (Ramirez most recently helmed Marvelâs The Defenders.) Deadline was first to report the news of DâOnofrioâs return and Olesonâs appointment.
âDaredevilâ Season 3 Adds âHart of Dixieâ Alum Wilson Bethel
Wilson Bethel has been cast in âDaredevilâ Season 3 at Netflix in a series regular role, Variety has learned exclusively.
The exact character Bethel is playing is being kept under wraps. It is known, however, that he will portray an FBI agent who will play a critical role in the conflict between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, better known as Daredevil and Kingpin respectively.
Bethel is best known for his role on the CW series âHart of Dixie,â playing Wade Kinsella throughout the showâs run. He also played Ryder Callahan in the soap opera âThe Young and the Restlessâ and Cpl. Evan âQ-Tipâ Stafford in the HBO miniseries âGeneration Kill.â Bethel has also appeared in shows like âHow to Get Away with Murder,â âHarley and the Davidsons,â and âBates Motel.â
