WHO IS ROSIE ?

also known as tempest, rosie is a semi-retired superhero turned advice columnist for the daily planet. known around the office and her friend group as clark kent’s college sweetheart & best-friend-turned-lover. now, she’s one half of an unstoppable and painfully hopeful hero duo protecting metropolis from anything the universe ( lex luthor ) might throw its way. during the day day, they handle any problems that arise, whether that’s human relationship related or out of this world. after all, the most powerful way to make a difference in the world is by helping others !

when rosie isn’t churning out advice articles for the daily planet, they’re answering questions on their secret advice blog, www.voiceofthetempest.com ! dedicated to relationship and life advice for heroes, metahumans, or anyone else who might need it. as tempest, her superhero identity, she answers everything from intimacy with magic, to balancing responsibilities, to how to tell your civilian partner that you got magical powers from a rock you found in space.

rosie is the hypothetical love child of carrie bradshaw & charlotte york— not literally, but in theory. human psychology & witchcraft enthusiast. had a mostly normal upbringing, but not so normal post-college travel experiences ( i found an ancient staff, unlocked primordial nature & energy magic powers, and changed the course of my life forever ). lex luthor’s #1 hater !

when rosie returned to metropolis, they got a job at the daily planet as a relationship advice columnist, with a flair for giving intuitively too-accurate life advice. who is the man at the desk across from hers? none other than their years-long, painfully obvious college crush, clark kent.

did we spend years dancing around our feelings? yes.

did we still email back and forth for almost 2 years while we each traveled the world on our own? also yes.

did we immediately recognize each other as heroes? of course we did. because why wouldn’t we.

did we sit on the roof of the daily planet, drink hot chocolate, and debrief each other on how the last years of our lives unfolded, especially how the hell we ended up both being superheroes? yes. yes we did. it took hours

first, i have shifted to this reality ( i keep meaning to shift back …. clark is just so polite and beautiful and sweet and lovely that i genuinely can’t think straight, especially considering our current relationship status…. sorry clark ), i just tend to keep a lot of my experiences and shifts close to my heart since they’re very personal !! clark in specific has a special place in my life, and as a better cr / parallel cr of sorts, my dcu life is very closely aligned with my past and experiences here. i will try to include as much detail as i can without leaking my personal info lol

this being said! the first time i shifted to that reality i woke up in clark’s bed in the middle of the night and was immediately told to go back to sleep and stop overthinking (he said he could hear the gears in my brain turning, he’s so silly). we’ve only been together for a few weeks (5 or 6 at most) but we tend to move pretty quickly— our relationship has like 6 years of pining before this, so everyone around us is more than thrilled to see us finally pulling our shit together. the vibes are definitely a lot softer and less chaotic than canon, especially since i have a helping role in managing any threats against metropolis. speaking of: metropolis is so so beautiful, there is so much greenery around the city, it’s refreshing and perfect for walking around. a lot of people commute via bikes or walking, actually. i was pleasantly surprised by how few people drive cars !! obsessed with that city fr

there’s a lot of good coffee shops and small businesses around the city as well, the architecture is amazing as well. you can tell that everyone within the city tries to support each other, even if it’s in little ways. despite all of the hectic shit that hits metropolis semi regularly, it’s one of my favorite places i’ve lived in most of my lives (at least in terms of cities). also interesting to note that the metropolis from my oliver queen / arrow / smallville shift is different than the metropolis from my dcu/clark life? it’s intriguing to think about in my opinion

other fun facts:

1. clark is obsessed with my cat. he has a litter box and her food set up at His apartment in case i stay over, because he will snatch up my little angel kitten and bring her over to stay with us. he feels bad when she’s left alone, she’ll cry at the door until we come back ….

2. it took maybe 2 weeks for me to start piecing together his superman identity. we were best friends in college and work together as adults, of course i would catch on to him sneaking out of the office at the first sign of trouble. he tried his best but i am too perceptive for my own good 👍

3. clark is very patient. so patient. he is an amazing listener and above all, he is my best friend and has been for years. i’ve been pining after that man for TOO long and he’s been the same towards me, but to be fair we were both dealing with some personal growth things in college and didn’t have space for a relationship. we traveled on our own after college, which definitely helped us get more connected to ourselves and our values without any pressure.
