Superhero movies in general don’t take off if not for Richard Donner’s Superman: The Movie in 1978. This was the first time ever that someone took superhero movies seriously and put real money and artistry into it and made it great for all audiences, not just kids.

Tim Burton’s Batman taught Hollywood how to market superhero films. In 1989, Batman was everywhere; shirts, toys, sodas, lunchboxes, cereal, even a damn Prince album was made for that movie. There had never been that much hype around a movie before its release, not even fucking Star Wars.

MARVEL didn’t figure out superhero movies until 2000. DC already had two of the best film ever by then (Superman ‘78 and Batman ‘89).

DC’s best works are far above and beyond most of MARVEL’s best work.

BATFLECK WAS FUCKING AWESOME AND YOU KNOW IT.

Man of Steel was better than every MARVEL movie not named Avengers, Infinity War, The Winter Soldier, Civil War or Ragnarok.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice is better than you remember.

Aquaman was better than it had any right or expectation of being.

DC beat MARVEL to the punch of having the first female-led superhero blockbuster movie.

Captain Marvel might’ve made more money but Wonder Woman was better from start to finish.

Filmmakers are allowed more creative license and freedom at DC, provided that the movie is successful (Richard Donner, Tim Burton, Christopher Nolan, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, James Wan, David F. Sandberg).

DC’s realistic, gritty film world is a good alternative to MARVEL’s snarkiness, quip-heavy, almost camp-driven world of action comedy.

DC hasn’t had a bad movie since Justice League, which doesn’t even count because of all the drama Zack Snyder went through.

TEEN TITANS. Cartoons or series. Doesn’t matter. It’s great.

DC has the game on lock when it comes to the cartoons. MARVEL hasn’t been great at cartoons since the 90s Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man and Hulk shows.

DC’s animated movies are better than MARVEL’s.

DC had more of their characters ingrained into pop culture long before MARVEL.

DC’s television shows beat any of MARVEL’s shows any day of the week and this dates back to the George Reeves Superman and Adam West Batman TV shows.

Whether you like it or not, Superman is more powerful than and would destroy 90% of all MARVEL heroes.

Watchmen the movie.

Watchmen the series.

Thanos is a cheap rip-off of Darkseid.

Deadpool is just Deathstroke with cancer, regeneration abilities and jokes.

DC HAS THE GODDAMN BATMAN.

DC’s villains vs MARVEL’s villains isn’t even a contest.

DC has a brighter future on film than MARVEL.

DC owns the rights to all their characters (which kinda makes it more funny that they didn’t do JL until 2017 but I digress).

Let’s face it, nothing will ever beat Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy. Nothing.
