"Sir, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to accept your insurance card."
"We are literally identical in almost every conceivable way. If you didn't know that he was passed out in the other room right now you would think we were the same person, so just run the damn insurance."
Nines insisted, annoyance evident in his tone as he tried for the fourth time to convince the old receptionist to use his insurance for Sixty's hospital visit.
"Sir, will you please stop trying to commit insurance fraud?"

Angst, fluff?
Locked in the elevator at work with your ex, under the circumstance will you talk things out or will you continue to avoid one another?
Thank you @jasminesfury for the prompt!! I'm tying to get back into writing and this prompt list helped with this oneee. If you've got any ideas feel free to send me an ask!! Also ignore that today's gif is Bryan I'm running out of Connor gifs ;^;

You and Connor had broken up months ago, and still avoided each other everyday like you were school children. Hank always complained, seeing as his desk was in-between yours and Connors and for the first week you both complained about each other to him.
Hank had been tired of it as soon as it began but he did like the two of you dating, at first you were good for each other and that's all you showed anyone until you broke up.
You stood, waiting for the elevator with your papers and folders in hand. It wasn't long before you heard the familiar ding and walked inside, the doors shutting behind you as you pressed the button for where you needed to be.
It was then that you noticed you were not alone in the lift. He stood quiet and serious as ever on the other side of the elevator, and you rolled your eyes. Of course he was here, he worked here too.
You nodded a small, polite hello to him which he returned as the elevator started moving. It seemed both of you were going down into the basement, you were taking some files down there and wondered what he was doing down there.
Suddenly, the elevator jumped, knocking you off balance. You dropped your paper and grabbed Connors' sleeve out of habit. His hands moved to hold you, resting on your waist. The elevator had stopped.
You turned to look at him, his eyes were already on you. Quickly, you took a step away from him and flattened your clothes down before crossing your arms.
"It stopped," Connor said, slightly panicked.
"Yeah no shit." You frowned.
Your breathing grew unstable as you spammed the call for assistance button. Your hands began to shake and you could hardly think as your heart beat louder in your ears.
Your eyes burned as tears threatened to spill. No one was coming and you were stuck underground. A cry choked in your throat and you began hyperventilating.
Everything was so loud in your ears but quiet in reality and you began to violently shake. You shut your eyes tight, biting your lip until you tasted blood as panic filled every fibre of your being.
Suddenly it was quiet and air began to return to your lungs. Your hands were soon on top of the arms around your waist and gripping the fabric of the sleeves.
Connor was holding you, his chest tight against your back and his chin resting on your shoulder. Whenever you had a panic attack before the break-up he would hold you like this and you still found comfort in it. You cursed yourself for finding comfort in him.
He lifted you off your feet and backed into a corner then sat the two of you down.
"It's okay," he cooed into your ear.
You looked over your shoulder at him, his soft brown eyes wide as he stared back. His cheeks lifted slightly as he smiled at you.
"I've got you," his words were so soft.
"Thank you," you muttered.
He nodded and rubbed your sides with the tips of his fingers. His grip was so comforting and you hated it.
"Let me go," you said, your voice soft.
"We both know you dont want that," he chuckled.
You pouted and leant back against him, comfortable in his grip. He rested his chin on your head and the two of you sat comfortably in silence for a shot while.
"Why did we ever even break up?" He spoke softly, as if he was thinking out loud.
"Because you were being the most judgemental, stubborn, workaholic person on the face of the earth and-,"
"Alright, I get the point." The two of you chuckled. "I miss us,"
You were quiet, a bitter taste in your mouth at his words.
"I would love to try again," his head moved to rest on your shoulder, close to your neck.
"I dont want to get hurt again." Your words were hard and cold.
"I cant make any promises but I can try harder," he pleaded.
You glanced his way, your eyes catching on his lips as you dragged your eyes away.
"I'm scared,"
"Do you still have feelings for me?" He asked.
You turned so that your side was against him so that you could look up to see him. You furrowed your eyebrows as you thought for a moment.
You did indeed still have feelings for him. They overwhelmed you with everything he did, each action pulling at your heart.
"Do you?" You responded.
"Of course I do,"
"I do too," you pursed your lips.
The elevator shifted, falling down slightly and you yelped, burying you face in his chest as you clung onto him.
His arms moved up around you, resting on your lower back and shoulder as he held you tight.
"Someone is on the way, don't worry," he assured you, rubbing your back.
"Don't let me go," you voice was muffled by his chest.
"I'm never going to let you go,"
The elevator jolted again, another yelp escaped your lips.
"I love you, so so much and I know I don't deserve another chance but if you let me try again I promise, I will be better for you. I just want to see you happy and I can't stand the thought of someone else making you happy."
"You're talking as if we're going to die!" You looked up at him.
"I know but I want you to know how I feel, and we avoid each other all the time it's like i dont exist to you anymore,"
"I'm sorry I've been so cold," you muttered. "I do love you too, with every breath and each beat of my heart."
He smiled. "Can we try again?"
"Only if you try,"
He nodded. He swore to himself that he would try harder, he would be better for you and will make you very happy.
The elevator jumped again and started slowly moving down. You were finally on your way down again.
"It seems we're saved," he smiled.
Before the elevator could stop, you pulled on Connors tie, jerking him towards you and pressed your lips against his. He moved into the kiss and gently placed his hand on your cheek.
The two of you were still kissing as the elevator dinged and the doors opened. Someone cleared their throat and you looked round to see Hank, smirking with his arms crossed. He leant lazily on a desk and raised his eye brows upon seeing the two of you.
You scrambled to your feet and pat down your clothes, removing any dust. Connor was soon stood next to you, offering you your papers that you had dropped earlier.
He placed a soft kiss on your temple before rushing off to do whatever he had to do. You stood there dazed, staring at Connor as he walked away.
"Hello Hank," you smiled.
"I knew you two would work it out," he grinned, soon walking away.
I kinda wanna write an angst with my idea of Amanda saying stuff like āOh Connor, How could a human love an android like you, and how could an android like you love?ā
idk does this make sense
Okay! So the short version of my request is Iād essentially like a yandere love triangle where Nines is after the attention of Connorās girlfriend. When he goes to make a move and maybe separate them, he finds out Connor is a (slightly more subtle) yandere who knows what Nines is trying to do and isnāt happy about it.

Third Piece of the Puzzle
I just wanna see a happy family with the reader, Hank and Connor so I impulsively wrote this up at like 1am and I have no idea where this is going. But let me know what you think! This will be a series but it depends on how well my commitment issues will take it.
TW: this does deal with depression and grieving, alcoholism (from Hank) and suicidal intentions. Most of the story takes place from the game itself but just as a warning, please read with caution if those are a trigger.

------
Hank Anderson.
He used to be admirable, a role model to look up to. He was someone people would use as a good example of how to be a cop. He was intimidating at first, but after getting to know him? He was the person with the biggest heart out of anyone you knew. He had trained other members of the police force, watching them become good people of law enforcement and get assigned to new partners. He had the title of the youngest lieutenant in Detroit history for a reason. He earned that promotion.
But, after the unfortunate incident with his son, everything changed for the worse.
Who could blame him though? Getting into a horrific car accident on a cold winter day, waiting around for news while your son is having emergency surgery and only being told by the android, who performed the surgery, comes in with nothing but dreadful news.
He couldn't focus on anything else that damn android was saying. In his head, it was so clearly the androids' fault. It was the one who did the surgery, it was the one who couldn't save his son, it's all the robot's fault.
He became everything but a role model for beginner police officers. He started snapping easily, he started relying on alcohol to cope with his grief, his depression, and the spiralling, loud and intruding thoughts that rang in his head. He started rocking up to work after midday, he even skipped work a couple of times. He used to be this, he wasn't that, he never did this, you'll never hear the end of it and neither will he. He couldn't see a way out of the spiral but the alcohol makes things easier temporarily.
He's lucky enough that Captain Fowler won't fire him, even after countless threats for doing so. He's lucky enough to still have a job regardless.
This is where you come into the picture.

A/N: Ahhh! My first non-stranger things request this summer; I have so much love in my heart for Deviant!Connor. I decided to follow the advice of @whoringrove and work on whatever my brain was most drawn to. Right now, Iām working on the second chapter of āStranger Things Have Happened in Hawkinsā but because it takes place in ST3 canon āverse, I really need to rewatch the whole season before finishing it. Iām itching to create right now, not watch something, so oop hereās an rk800 x reader fic. I hope you enjoy @momos-peaches <3

You knew Connor could die and be placed inside of a new bodyā Hank told you about the one time he was killed before; he was hit by a car going down the freeway. However, you were not there to witness that death. You had never personally seen Connor die and you most certainly werenāt the cause. This was not the freeway incident though, this was the battle for android freedom in Detroit.Ā
You were once on the side of the city, protecting humans at all costs. Now, you were at the center of the android revolutionā and Connorās blue blood was on your hands.Ā
< ā„ļø >
You were born into a well-off family and your mother worked in the technology industry. You grew up with Elijah Kamski as your best friend and worked with him for the first several years of your adult life. You were the creative mind behind a lot of the aesthetic choicesā clothes, facial structures, etc. There was enjoyment and pride in your work at first, but you watched Elijah turn into a shell of his fun-loving self. He became more arrogant and honestly an ass to be around. You kept him within your social circle because you couldnāt bear to lose someone so close to you, but you didnāt agree with the treatment of his android companions. You werenāt as technologically gifted as him, but you helped him create the first androids. You wanted them to be treated with respect and kindnessā Elijah saw them as nothing more than machines. He tormented you for it and you ended up leaving your very high-paying job at Cyberlife before he left his. You went back to school and ended up joining the police force as a detectiveā he retired to a mansion in the middle of nowhere. He invited you over often, but you started accepting fewer invitations as you started working more hours.Ā
Hank Anderson worked at the desk across from yours. You had very different views on androids, but he was a gentle soul to you. He valued your opinions on his cases highly and often requested to work with you over other detectives. It warmed your heart and gave you a father figure you could actually reach out to. This is how you met RK800, better known as āConnor.āĀ
He was far more advanced than any of the androids you worked on and his physical appearance wasnāt your design. You guessed that he was made by the team that replaced yours and you were honestly amazed by his existence. His data analysis software was incredible and he was extremely skilled in crime scene investigation. You knew the moment that you met him at the Ortiz house, you knew he was special.Ā
< ā„ļø >
You were already inside the house when he entered behind Hank. You smiled at the two of them as they came inside. You stood up from your place over the body, āAh, Lieutenant Anderson, I thought you might never come.ā
He rolled his eyes as he approached. Connor was matching his pace. You eyed him curiously, but pretended not to notice himā as much as you could, anyway. Though, you are sure Connor noticed your glances. āI wasnāt gonna come, but this jackass showed up at Jimmyās bar and said you were working this one alone. Thought you might want a hand.ā
āExtra hands are always welcome at my crime scenes; we could use all the help we can get to be honest with you. Household androids are becoming more unstable every day⦠I just donāt understand why. Take a look at the scene in the kitchen, Lieutenant; something awful.ā
āCan do,ā he replied shortly before walking past you.
Your eyes fell on Connor, who was standing stiffly a few feet from you. āI would shake your hands, but Iām gloved and have blood on me⦠whatās your name?ā
āMy name is Connor. Iām the android sent by Cyberlife to assist Lieutenant Anderson with the rise in deviant cases.ā His answer was stark and to the point, but there was something behind the inflection of his voice. You could feel his gaze; it was dull and unwavering.Ā
āIām guessing you already know who I am based on what Hank said.ā
He nodded curtly. āY/n L/n. Current Detective at Detroit Police Department and former Creative Director of Cyberlife.ā
You smiled again. āIndeed, itās nice to meet you, Connor.ā
< ā„ļø >
The next two days were some of the most action-packed and traumatic days of your life. You protected Connor from Gavinās android hatred, searched the Eden Club, and witness an unmasked android give a freedom speech on national televisionā not to mention all the cases that were piling up of deviants committing felonies. You felt protective of Connor at this point and he felt protective of you, though he didnāt understand why he felt that way. Hank was still a little skeptical of Connor as you approached your childhood friendās home, but you had no doubts in your mindā Connor wasnāt just human-like, he was human. Much like many of the androids you were trying to track down/stop, he showed bright, shining signs of humanity. It made you incredibly nervous to take him with you to Elijahās. It made you so nervous, in fact, you asked him to do something very unlike you.
Hank stopped the car outside of the Kamski residence. Connor was in the back seat and started to open his door before you squeaked out, āConnor, stay here.ā
āWhat?ā Hank questioned.Ā
Connor pulled the door shut again, but kept his hand on the handle. āWhy, Detective?ā
āUhā¦ā you faltered. You felt silly saying it, but you were sincerely worried for Connorās safety in Elijahās presence. As much as you hated it, the man could read you like an open book. He would know that you cared for Connor and would do everything he could to use that connection to his advantage. āKamski will try to turn me against you, I just know.ā
āOh come on, Y/n. Youāre not going to turn your back on me and Connor. Weāll all be fine,ā Hank assured.
āI would feel much better about this visit if Connor were to stay in the car. He is safe in the car,ā You argued.
Hank rolled his eyes. āIf anything happens to him, as much as I hate it, Cyberlife will fix him and heāll be back on the job tomorrow.ā
āI appreciate the concern Detective, but Lieutenant Anderson is right. I am replaceable.ā
Hearing those words absolutely shattered your heart. āConnorā¦ā
Hank patted your shoulder. āCome on, kid. Heāll be fine. Letās go get this over with. I know you hate this fucker as much as I do.ā
< ā„ļø >
Elijah had his eyes on you from the moment you walked into the swimming pool room. There were quite a few Chloe models present, which did not surprise you. She was the first model to pass the Turing test and you had designed her (aesthetically speaking). Elijah had little touches of your relationship all over his houseā your painting in the entryway, a few drawings of yours on the walls, even a picture of you two as kids in a frame on a table near the window, and of course Chloe. Though he was taking his sweet time getting out of the pool, he was keeping a close eye on you. You werenāt the only one to notice these details thoughā they were noticed by Connor and Hank both. The feeling of his eyes on you made your skin crawl as he climbed out of the pool. āI was surprised to see your name on my schedule, Y/n, but I am oh so happy to see you again. Whatās it been? Six months?ā
You did your best not to falter at his words, but his tone sent a chill up your spine. āIāve been busy with my work at DPD. You know that, Elijah.ā You used his first name on purpose; you were hoping it would throw him off his game. When you worked together at Cyberlife, you fell into the habit of calling him Kamski; everyone else did, so when you called him by his first name, it usually knocked the snark out of him. āThese are my friends; Lieutenant Anderson and Connor.ā
āWhat can I do for you, Y/n? Lieutenant?ā He asked, only addressing you and Hank. It was annoying you slightly that he was being so informal with you, but at the end of the day, you couldnāt blame him. You two had such a long history it would be sort of unsettling for him to call you ādetectiveā, though you despised him calling you just by your first name. It gave you a feeling of disgust in the deepest pit of your stomach.Ā
You could see the weary look on Hankās face. It wasnāt surprisingā he was fairly protective over you. What was a little surprising was the fact that Connorās LED was circling yellow to red and back again. Your words felt like they were trapped in your throat, so Hank picked up the conversation. āSir, weāre investigating deviants. I know you left CyberLife years ago but, I was hoping you'd be able to tell us something we donāt knowā¦ā
Kamski smirked, āDeviants⦠Fascinating, aren't they? Perfect beings with infinite intelligence, and now they have free will⦠Machines are so superior to us, confrontation was inevitable⦠Humanityās greatest achievement threatens to be its downfall. Isnāt it ironic?ā
āWe need to understand how androids become deviants. Do you know anything that could help us?ā Connor questioned. Elijahās strong gaze shifted to him for a moment. Then, it shifted between the two of you. You had a bad feeling before you walked inside the house, but it was getting stronger with every passing second that you all were inside. You shifted slightly, placing yourself vaguely in front of Connor. Your eyes met Elijahās and you could see him deeply contemplating his next move.Ā
āAll ideas are viruses that spread like epidemics... Is the desire to be free a contagious disease?ā
Hank was becoming impatient with the conversation. You could see it plainly on his face and in his body language. āListen, I didnāt come here to talk philosophy. The machines you created may be planning a revolution. Either you can tell us something that'll be helpful, or we will be on our way.ā
Elijah began to step closer to you and Connor. You tilted your head while shooting your former best friend a questioning look. You knew that he was paying attention to you, but he didnāt acknowledge you at all. He kept his eyes trained on your android companion, while his fingers twitched at his sides. āWhat about you, Connor? Whose side are you on?ā
You looked away from Elijah and toward Connor. He was looking back at you, but only for a brief moment. The light on his temple was still flicking between yellow and red as he looked toward Elijah, āIt's not about me, Mr. Kamski. All I want is to solve this case.ā
Elijah chuckled a bit, pulling his lip with his teeth. āWell, that's what you're programmed to say⦠but youā¦ā He was getting uncomfortably close to both you and Connor. He angled himself so he was off to the side a little bit, away from you, but he was still less than a foot away now. His glance came toward you for a moment before going back to Connor, āWhat do you really want?ā
Your eyes were glued to Elijah. You, Hank, and Connor were all weaponless because that was an agreement of the meeting, but you were still trying to calculate the best way to incapacitate him if things went south. Connor, again, glanced in your direction, but you didnāt notice this time. Elijah and Hank both did though. āIām sorry, but I donāt see where you're getting at,ā he replied. His defensive tone didnāt go unnoticed by you, though.
āY/n, would you mind stepping over to stand next to Chloe?ā
You quirked your eyebrow at him. āWhy?ā
āI would like to run a little test on your android and youāre blocking my way.ā
You knew exactly what test he meant. There was nothing else he could mean with that evil little glimmer in his eye, āNo way in hell youāre doing to that to him. I wonāt let you.ā
He had a curious expression on his face. He had completely turned his attention to you. His hand came to rest on your upper arm as he answered. āInteresting. Youāre so protective of a machine, I mean, you always have been rather fond of androids, but that adorable angry look on your faceā oh you care about it, donāt you, Angel?āĀ
You nearly gagged at the nickname. You knew he had feelings for you somewhere in your past, but he hadnāt called you āangelā since you were in your early twenties. He stopped after you rejected him. Itās probably where the bitterness in your relationship started. God, you felt like you were going to be sick. Hank was in shock behind you and didnāt know how to intervene; Connor felt like he was frozen in place. His orders were telling him to focus on the mission, but the thought āprotect y/nā was trying to force itself to become his primary directive. Elijah took the opportunity to place his free hand under your chin. His fingers dug into your skin. āWhat? Did I hit a nerve, detective?ā That smirk planted itself on his face again. āChloe, get the device.ā His eyes never left yours. Your brain was screaming at you to rip yourself from his grasp, but you couldnāt get your feet to move. His hand moved from your chin to your other arm. He forced you out of the way as Chloe pulled a gun out of the table drawer. He almost threw you out of the way he used so much force. You stumbled into the chair next to the table and sucked in a harsh breath. Connorās LED was completely red, but he was still unable to pick a directive. āIām sure youāre familiar with the Turing test. Mere formality, simple question of algorithms and computing capacity. What interests me is whether machines are capable of empathy. I call it "the Kamski test", it's very simple, you'll seeā¦ā He turned to Chloe, an almost hungry look in his eyes as he took the gun from her hands. āMagnificent, isn't it? One of the first intelligent models developed by CyberLife, completely designed by Y/n and myself. Young and beautiful forever. A flower that will never witherā¦ā¦But what is it really? Piece of plastic imitating a human? Or a living being... With a soulā¦?ā Elijah handed the gun to Connor. āIt's up to you to answer that fascinating question, Connor. Destroy this machine and I'll tell you all I know. Or spare it, if you feel it's alive, but you'll leave here without having learned anything from me.ā
Hank found his voice again after seeing the fear in your eyes. āOkay, I think weāre done here. Come on, Connor. Let's go. Sorry to get you outta your pool.ā
Elijah was getting more and more in Connorās face. āWhat's more important to you, Connor? Your investigation, or the life of this android? Decide who you are. An obedient machine⦠Or a living being endowed with free willā¦ā
āThat's enough! Connor, Y/n, weāre leaving.ā
āPull the trigger,ā Elijah taunted. It was like watching the angel and devil on Connorās shoulders. He looked to you for an answer. Elijah had aimed the gun at Chloe and for Connor, it would be just one quick motion, butā¦Ā
āConnor, donātā¦ā Hank said.
Connor was searching your face for an answer. āPlease noā¦ā you mumbled.Ā
āI'll tell you what you wanna know,ā Elijah mumbled.
Connor lowered the gun and could feel himself destabilizing. Elijah sighed and moved away from Connor. He walked back over the table and opened the drawer again. Before you could process what was happening, he yanked you to your feet and had his hand around your neck. You could feel him closing his fingers tightly enough to start cutting off your oxygen. You grabbed at his hand for a moment, before you felt the cold metal of a gun barrel pressed against your temple. Your breath was gone from your lungs. You never would have seen this coming. āEliāā You couldnāt get his whole name out.Ā
āWhat the fuck are you doing, Kamski?ā Hank shouted. All of the Chloe models that were still in the pool had begun to watch.Ā
āFascinating⦠CyberLife's last chance to save humanity... is itself a deviantā¦ā Elijah mused. āI have another test for you, Connor. Weāll call it the Y/n test.ā He relaxed his fingers slightly so you could breathe again. āYou, a piece of plastic, have somehow managed to capture Y/nās attention.ā He rubbed his thumb across your chin so softly it almost felt like a comforting gesture. āI could have given them everything. A mansion, wealth beyond anything they have ever seen, they never would have had to work a day in their whole life, but they turned me down. They left Cyberlife and eventually became a detective. Ever since they joined DPD theyāve been slipping farther and farther away. I canāt even get them to come over for a meal anymore, but you⦠in a few days, they have become completely enamored with you.ā His hands were trembling with anger. He began constricting your air again. āThis test should be easy for you Connor; shoot the Chloe model and I will let Y/n go, unharmed. You three will walk out of here with no information, but the detective will be fine and Chloe will be replaced. If you refuse to shoot Chloe, Iāll shoot your favorite human, but I will tell you everything I know. Are you willing to sacrifice the life of this human for your mission? Someoneās going to die, Connor. Itās up to you to decide.ā Elijah clicked the safety off.Ā
Connor looked between you, Chloe, and Hank. You had been in danger before with your job, but this was the closest you had ever come to death. Connor could read the terror in your expression. Hank was scared too. Connor had never seen Hank truly scared before. āKamskiāā
āQuiet! This is Connorās choice.ā
Connor closed his eyes and pulled the trigger. Chloe shut down almost instantly and Elijah dropped his gun on the ground next to him. He let go of your throat and Connor rushed forward to catch you. You pulled in as many deep breaths as you could. Connorās sensors scanned your injuries and determined quickly, that while extremely distressed, that you were relatively unharmed. Without saying anything, he wrapped his arm under your knees and behind your back. āLetās go, quickly Lieutenant.ā
Hank didnāt argue and neither did Elijah. Connor nearly ran to the car with you in his arms, jumping into the back of the vehicle with you. āY/n? Are you alright, Y/n?ā You nodded as you started to catch your breath. Hank got into the driverās seat and started down the road as quickly as he could. āWhatās their status, Connor?ā
āStable, but we should have them seen by a doctor to make sure Kamski didnāt cause any serious damage.ā
āGuys⦠Iāll be fine.ā
āShut up, Y/n. If Connor says you should see a doctor, weāre stopping at a doctor.ā
< ā„ļø >
Connor had no idea that you had tailed him to Jericho. You were so careful not to let him see you. You followed him all the way up to Markus and North in the Captainās cabin. North had a gun, but from what you could tell, it was jammed.Ā āWhat are you doing? You are one of us⦠You canāt betray your own peopleā¦ā
You had met Markus before; he was one of your designs. You never imagined that he would end up being RA9, but knowing Carl, it made sense. Carl treated Markus as another son and gave him freedoms that many other androids did not have. āYou're coming with me!ā
āYou're nothing to them. You're just a tool they use to do their dirty work. But you're more than that. We are all more than that⦠Do you never have any doubts? Youāve never done something irrational, as if there's something inside you?.. Something more than your program.ā
You couldnāt tell what Connor or North was thinking so you decided it was best to intervene before something went wrong. āConnor!ā you called. His head snapped in your direction before he started looking at North and Markus again.Ā
āWhat are you doing here, Detective? How did you find me?ā
āConnor, put the gun down. Markus is good, I promise. Weāve met before.ā
āI donāt believe my eyes,ā Markus said. āY/n L/n. You designed me for Carl.ā
You tossed him a soft smile. āHello again, Markus.ā You walked around Connorās side and walked in front of his gun.Ā
āY/n donātāā
āYou donāt have to do this, Connor. You have done something irrational. There is something more than your program, just like Markus said. You had no idea if Elijah would have gone through with his threat. You could have followed orders and let me die. You could have learned whatever you wanted about deviants from him, but you didnātā you saved me because you care about me, Connor. I know you do! Put the gun down and we can talk about this. I know Cyberlife is telling you that Markus is the enemy, but heās not and you know that heās not.ā
Connor lowered the gun to his side, but he didnāt drop it. You stepped to the side where he was holding it and set your hand on his. You were going to continue talking him down, but a loud bang came from behind you and the next thing you knew, Connor had blue blood dripping from a bullet woundā right between his eyes. Markus shouted at North and you screamed bloody murder as he collapsed. āFuck! FUCK, CONNOR! Donāt you fucking leave me hereā¦ā

Life was not going so well for anyone around you at this point. You were at Hankās house; your head in your hands as you sat on the couch. Sumo was whining for you to cheer up, but you couldnāt. Connorās death was just replaying in your mind on repeat. Hank was in the kitchen and not doing much better than you. The both of you were so out of it, that you didnāt hear the bedroom window being open and shut. āLieutenant!ā Connor shouted. āLieutenant itās me! I need your help!ā
You shot up from the couch and Hank bolted in from the kitchen. āConnor? Howāā
āCyberlife will always replace me. Iāve found Markus and the others. Heās shown me what I can really be, I⦠Iām deviant. I offered to go to Cyberlife to gather more androids for the war, but⦠Iām scared and I need help. I wanted to see you, Y/n, but I was afraid of that too.ā
āFuckā¦ā You used your hands to wipe the fresh tears from your eyes. āConnor⦠I⦠you died in my arms. I watched you fucking die right in front of me⦠You canāt do that shitā¦ā
āY/n⦠Iām sorry.ā
āSorry doesnāt fix it! Itās not your fault anyway⦠North shot you because she thought you would kill her and Markus. Iām glad your back, but itās so fucking weird. Itās messing with my brainā¦ā
Connor slowly started to walk around the couch. āCan I do anything?ā
āYou⦠Please donāt die again! I canāt do that again. Your blood was everywhere and I felt so fucking helpless. Markus just kept apologizing and I didnāt know what to do. We had to leave your body and run because soldiers started attacking Jericho. I felt so bad, but I couldnāt carry you out, IāāĀ
Connor reached out and set his hand on you shoulder. āItās alright now, Y/n. I know how much my death upset Hank and I can see it hurt you. I will do everything I can not to die again.ā
The softness of his voice and his simple touch did you in completely. You rushed forward and wrapped your arms around him. āYou better not die again, I need you here.ā

š°š²šŖšŖššÆš¶: connor has been having very bad nightmares due to the trauma of his past š“ššÆš«š¦š«š¤š°: depicted gore, brief mention of suicide The moonlight was comfortably set over Detroit, and almost everyone was sound asleep in their homes. Just distant sounds of traffic and people talking from outside could distract me from lying with Connor. A brisk gust of air blows into the room, dragging the cool temperature down slightly. Connorās synthetic skin warmed where I touched him and where I didnāt, making the cool temperature of the room bearable.
Ā The night went as most do. Connor and I both fell asleep in the warm embrace of each otherās arms. We were both on our sides facing each other - his arm was around my waist and spooning my back while his other hand was underneath my body. My arm outstretched onto Connorās lower torso.
Connorās LED shone a brilliant shade of blue as he dozed off into sleep. He looked so elegant while idle. Just tracing my hand along his jaw while he sleeps, memorizing every freckle placed on his skin, looking at just how beautifully they designed him. āHow did I find someone as perfect as him?ā I thought.
Ā I almost fell asleep until I realized Connor twitching slightly, his LED switching from yellow to red, then back again. His breathing became more and more staggered, causing me to worry slightly more. He gripped onto the loose clothing on my back as if it was the last thing keeping him from falling to his untimely death. Sweat beaded down his brow to his chin. I rocked him back and forth with my hand, trying to wake him. āConnor? Hey, Hey! Baby, please get up!ā I whisper yelled to him, but to no avail.Ā
Whatever nightmare he had, it wasnāt just a normal one for him. Heās had nightmares, but none seemed this.. detrimental. When my shaking on his whole body worked, he awoke with a sharp gasp and a violent flinch as if he was just hit. Now his LED was a deep crimson which never changed, even to yellow.Ā I sat up and tried to help him calm down his hyperventilating. He was muttering to himself in between harsh sobs.Ā āI didnāt..Iām sorry. I-It was-wasnāt me I...wasnāt- that wasnāt..me.ā I pulled him into my arms and circled my pointer finger onto his back. This seemed to calm his muttering and his bawling.Ā āItās alright, baby. Youāre alright, youāre safe.ā He still didnāt loosen his tight grip onto my pajamas. After his sobs calmed down, he began to speak.Ā āI-I didnāt mean to..I was for-forced to..Iām ju- Iām so..so sorry..ā His torso began to rack with violent shivers.Ā āYou donāt have to tell me what happened, sweetheart unless you want to. Just try to calm down, Iām here. You can tell me anything, Iāll be here for you.ā He regained his composure and begun explaining the dream.Ā āI..When I was still a machine, I connected to a deviants memory while he killed himself. You were there if I remember correctly. And I felt..like I was dying along with him. I was...so scared. I felt fear for the first time but I just...just- denied it. I felt like if I did, I would be deactivated and shut off. I woul- would just be sent to..to the junkyard where- where all the f-faulty androids went. I..I was there..and I-I...I tried..to convince them not to send me there.. but they just did-didnāt listen to me. I-I donāt wanna die!ā I wanted to do anything in my power to help him move on from who he once was. He couldnāt do anything about it, he was forced to by Amanda. By Cyberlife. He still holds it against himself and it pains me to know how much pain he is in. I want him to be happy, and when he isnāt, I feel like Iām not happy along with him. āI understand you still think that itās your fault, but it isnāt. You wouldāve been deactivated and analyzed if you did show signs of deviancy. You felt like you needed to hide your emotions for the sake of the mission. For the sake of yourself. Amanda forced you to do things you werenāt alright with doing, and Iām so sorry, sweetie. I want to be able to kiss away your problems. Youāve brought hundreds of hopeless androids a light at the end of the tunnel, and you think that youāre still a bad person? Many people are very grateful for you, as they should be. Youāve done amazing things, and you deserve to know it. I love you, Connor. If you want to, we could just try to fall back asleep for if you donāt want to, we can find something to do. Iām not very tired, Iāve already taken a nap. I just wanna hold you, make you feel alright.ā His grip finally let go, his muscles unclenching themselves.Ā Ā āI..I love you so much, honey. Iām so sor-sorry if I worried you.. We can go back to bed, Iām sorry for waking you.ā I placed a kiss onto his head and pulled him up closer to my chest.Ā āAlright, baby. Goodnight, sleep well.āĀ āGoodnight, (Name). I love you.ā I intertwined our hands together and rubbed his thumb with mine as I whispered,Ā āI love you too, baby.ā
