Ceasefire Day 70 | Day 108 US-Israel war with Iran (Operation Epic Fury / Operation Roaring Lion) - June 16, 2026

1. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance both virtually signed the agreement to end a US blockade of Iranian ports, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and start 60 days of nuclear negotiations.

2. VP JD Vance says he expects UN nuclear inspectors to return to Iran and there will be “no tolls” in the Strait of Hormuz during the 60-days of talks with Tehran.

3. On the Iranian side, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf signed the document.

4. No text has been released yet, with Trump saying it will likely be publicly released after the signing ceremony scheduled for Friday.

5. Three Iranian oil tankers and two cargo ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz after the US lifted its naval blockade.

6. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says Israeli troops will continue to occupy southern Lebanon, despite the US-Iran agreement.
