DAI companions react to a Solas dumped, Elven female Inquisitor hooking up with Fenris (assuming Hawke brought Fenris with him to Skyhold and is non-romanced by Hawke or Isabella).
Cassandra: Is fine with it. She has read the Tale of the Champion (many times, though she will vehemently deny this to anyone) and thus knows that Fenris would be a good match for the Inquisitor. “I am glad to see you happy and I wish you both the best.”
Varric: Introduced them after a respectable amount of time had passed from the Solas Incident. And well...if said introduction just happened to have taken place a little too close to the rotunda...Pure coincidence, of course. When Cole asks how he knew they would be happy, he says, “Ah, they suit each other. Broody put a smile on their face for the first time in weeks and they make Broody...a little less broody.”Â
Iron Bull: He gets along well enough with Fenris, and notices how much his demeanour changes whenever he catches sight of the Inquisitor. From the very first meeting, he notices Fenris’ eyes lingering just a little bit too long on their leader and chuckles to himself. Maybe getting over Solas won’t be so difficult for them, after all.Â
Sera: Ugh, another elf...but at least he’s not too elfy. She likes that he doesn’t ask too many questions about her like everyone else. He doesn’t ask what she’s doing when he overhears her cataloging the feel and texture of each material in the room, and she doesn’t ask when she sees him brushing his feet back and forth against the stone steps in Skyhold’s garden. And hey, he makes Inky happy so that’s good!Â
Blackwall: Thinks the two are a great pair. He bonded well with Fenris quickly; the two frequently sharing drinks and cards with Varric and few others. He and Fenris have also taken to sparring during the late nights when neither can sleep (though they are quite ashamed come morning to hear the complaints of the people they woke up). Blackwall offers his congratulations and thinks they’ll have a happy relationship.
Vivienne: Is happy that the Inquisitor has been able to move on. And to such a nice alternative to the last man...though she doesn’t say that, of course. It is a bit of a pity, though, as she’d been so eager to introduce the Inquisitor to the darling nephew of the Duchess Nicole de Val Montaigne. But nevertheless, she wishes the pair all the good fortune.Â
Cole: Is very happy. When he first met Hawke and the elf warrior he was curious enough of him, but was disappointed to see there was little he could do to ease his pain. But when he saw the elf meeting the Inquisitor, he could feel the perfect chance coming along. “Bright; a balm, gentle and soft, yes, good. They need it too! Broken, wasn’t I good enough, will I ever be good enough? This is good! You can help each other’s hurts!”Â
Dorian: Is supportive of the two, though he has had little to do with Fenris since his arrival. Varric had slipped him a message letting him know he may not be received too kindly, so Dorian had tried to stay out of his way to reduce the chances of triggering any unpleasant memories. They have met on a few occasions and the conversations were understandably terse, but cordial enough. And when Dorian wishes the two the best of luck, he adds in a sentence in Tevene, which Fenris answers with a nod of his head. They’re making progress, he thinks.Â
Solas: He’s no fool; he knew by forsaking them, he was ultimately pushing them into another’s arms. The knowledge doesn’t make it any less painful.Â
