Dawnflower was my adopted sister, but our relationship was complicated...

We were very close as kits. Not as close as me and Stormfur, but close none the less.

Our personalities complimented each other well. We were both empathetic, outgoing and eager to experience life.

We often went on patrols together and stayed up late talking in the apprentice's den, much to the annoyance of everyone else!

But things were different after TigerClan was formed...

She could've said something. She could of stood up for me. But instead she watched, silently, never saying a word as Stonefur was mercilessly slaughtered.

I would've met StarClan that day too, if it weren't for Stonefur. But she never said anything. None of them did...

Maybe it's silly of me to hold a grudge against her for that. She was only an apprentice at the time. But if she had said something, if anyone had said something!!

Maybe it could've been different...

I didn't talk to her much after that. Or any cat, really. I just drew further into myself.

I don't know how Stormfur forgave everyone after that. I just couldn't bring myself to, knowing they all would have happily seen me killed if it meat saving their own sorry assess!

But we could've done something!!! We could've fought them!!! We could've beat ShadowClan. If someone, ANYONE had said something!!!

I often wonder how she would've felt. If one of her own kits was in my place. No one knew who their father was. But they looked an awful lot like WindClan...
