I had so much fun with the first post, so I decided to make another one. For those who are not familiar with my previous post, I will try to bring attention to some misconceptions that modern astrology created and after that I'll explain how they actually showed up in hellenistic astrology. This way people will be able to understand the roots of tropical astrology more accurately and could perhaps even choose to sail away from the misconceptions or the "rose-tinted glasses" ideas that modern astrology created. I hope I will enlighten you, and if you have any other misconception that you'd love for me to talk about please leave it in the comments!

♡︎. "THE 4TH HOUSE REPRESENTS THE MOTHER. THE 10TH HOUSE REPRESENTS THE FATHER"

Plot twist: it's the complete opposite. The 4th house represents the father while the 10th house represents the mother. On my last astrology observations post some people were shocked when I said that the 4th house = the father and the 10th house = the mother so now I feel obligated to talk about this. The reason why modern astrology started to associate the 4th house with the mother and the 10th house with the father is due to the ABC house system. The ABC house system believes that each sign rules over each house (ex: Aries rules over the 1st house, Taurus rules over the 2nd house etc.), however this system is extremely inaccurate and makes absolutely no sense if you take in consideration the house's original/real meanings. Anyways, back to the topic, this mismatch in the parental roles based on houses started when Cancer was associated with the 4th house and Capricorn with the 10th house, and that of course makes no sense. For example Capricorn is a feminine sign and its ruling planet aka Saturn is described as a feminine planet based by Dorotheus of Sidon's texts, so then why are we assigning the father to these two?

♡︎. "THE LUNAR NODES REPRESENT YOUR DESTINY"

While yes, they do represent disruption beyond your control, they certainly don't represent "the karmic lessons that you are meant to fulfill" or anything like that. The North Node tends to amplify, exaggerate or perhaps even obsess over whatever it touches, while the South Node tends to reduse, drain or perhaps even create detachment from whatever it touches. If you live life based on your North Node you won't fulfill your destiny, you'll just keep consuming and consuming and consuming until you eventually consume your peace of mind

♡︎. "AQUARIUS IS REBELLIOUS/UNPREDICTABLE"

Nope. Aquarius by default does not represent the change in the system, and that role may actually belong to Capricorn. Stick with me a little on this one. Aquarius is a fixed sign that's ruled by Saturn, how can it possibly be unpredictable or volatile if its make-up literally does not allow that? I suppose that this misconception started from the fact that Uranus was assigned to rule over Aquarius, but first of all why are you assigning rulership for the generational planets that even in modern astrology are considered to represent a societal impact rather than a personal impact? And second of all even if you could assign rulership to the generational planets, why assign Uranus for Aquarius? That doesn't make any sense to Aquarius' true nature. As for the "rebellious" side of Aquarius, this belief may have started from the fact that Aquarius represents the underdogs, and while that is indeed true Aquarius does not represent the change that comes for them, it strictly represents the oppressed status. Capricorn on the other hand can be the Saturnian sign that represents the change for the underdogs because it is a cardinal sign where Mars finds it's exaltation in

♡︎. "A SYNASTRY CHART IS NOT ENOUGH. YOU ALSO NEED TO SEE A COMPOSITE/DAVISON/ETC. CHART"

the davison chart functions as the literal birth of your together. while a composite chart is a mathematical midpoint between planetary degrees, davison finds the specific bridge in time and space where your relationship actually arrived as its own entity. it treats your bond like a living person with a unique body and a specific destiny. the davison rising is the front door of your relationship; it dictates how the world sees you as a pair and the specific energy you project whenever you walk into a room holding hands.

aries people see you coming long before you arrive. there is a raw hunger for action in your joint energy that refuses to be ignored or edited by the crowd. you look like a couple that is always halfway through a project or a race, moving with a zero-hesitation policy. the world sees your nerve and the way you jump into the fire together without looking for a map. your together is a constant beginning.

taurus the relationship carries a physical weight that tells everyone you are staying put. people look at you and see stability, quality, and a total refusal to be rushed by the noise of the world. your joint presence suggests high thread counts and slow mornings. the world sees your loyalty as a physical fact, and your together acts as a sanctuary for anyone who needs to feel grounded for a minute.

gemini your together sounds like a radio station that never hits a dead frequency. you are the couple people invite to dinner because they know the conversation will never die. the world sees you as the messengers, the ones with fifty open tabs and a new story for every mile you travel. your joint image is restless, bright, and always looking for a new exit or a better joke to share.

cancer the connection feels like a locked door to the outside world. you look like a sanctuary, a pair that prioritizes the private kitchen table over the public performance. people see your protective grit and the way you nurture each other's secrets in total silence. your together carries a heavy nostalgia and an aura of safety that makes the rest of the world feel a bit too loud.

leo you look like the lead characters in a story that finally has enough light. there is a natural warmth and a sense of pride in your together that makes everyone else want to stand a little closer to catch the heat. your reputation is built on generosity and creative fire. you aren't meant to be the background music; you are the main event, and your together reminds everyone else that it is okay to shine.

virgo you are the ones who actually know what is going on while everyone else is fumbling. the world sees your competence and the quiet, precise way you fix the plumbing of reality for the people you love. your joint image is built on rituals, small details, and being useful. you look like a pair that has a plan for every storm and a spare band-aid for every scrape.

After talking about the Sun, Ascendant and Mars....let's take a look at the Moon.

The Davison Moon is the shared gut of the pair..... forget about you or them for a second. This vibe hits hard when you're trapped in a car together. You can smell it the moment you both walk into a room.

THE SIGNS: THE FLAVOR OF THE MESS

Leo Moon: Pure theater kid ego. Begging for a like and a clap. If the world stops looking, the pair feels like absolute trash. Bright, loud, and a total drama fest.

Virgo Moon: A nagging parent with a clipboard. Looking for a speck of dust to cry about. You show love by fixing the other's life without being asked. Usually ends in a headache.

Libra Moon: A sugar coated lie. Terrified of a mean look or a loud noise. You'll act nice even if you hate each other just to keep it pretty. Sweet, but got zero teeth.

Scorpio Moon: A dark pit with no lights. Spooky and always digging for dirt. You'll poke a fresh bruise just to see if it still hurts. A heavy but attractive nightmare.

Sagittarius Moon: A runaway train with no brakes. Allergic to a ring or a fence. You'll talk about the stars while the kitchen is on fire. A wild messy trip to nowhere.

Capricorn Moon: A dusty rock. Tough, old, and busy working. You care about the bag and the job more than a hug. Built to last but cold as ice.

Aquarius Moon: A glitch in the system. Two aliens in a trench coat trying to look human. Cool, weird, and a bit far away. A total oddball vibe.

Pisces Moon: A bad trip in a fog. Soft and totally lost. You don't know where the bed ends and the floor starts. A ghost story with no ending.

THE HOUSES: WHERE THE BEAT DROPS

1st House: Walking billboard for your own drama. The pair screams main character even when you're just buying milk. Everyone smells the mood before you even open your mouths.

2nd House: Hoarding gourmet snacks and expensive pillows. Security means having enough stuff to survive a nuclear winter together. The heart stays happy as long as the fridge stays full.

3rd House: Absolute brain rot in the passenger seat. Yapping about the neighbors while driving nowhere fast. The vibe thrives on gossip and dumb memes sent from a few feet away.

8th House: Trauma dumping after midnight. Digging through the psychic trash and checking each other's phone just because. A mess that feels like a suicide pact.

9th House: Yelling about philosophy while you're both lost in a parking lot. Trying to outrun your problems with a plane ticket to nowhere. A big windy vibe with no map.

10th House: Stiff necked performance for the in-laws. Obsessed with looking like a power couple. Treating a kiss like a board meeting where everyone is taking notes.

11th House: Never being alone because the group chat is always invited. The vibe thrives on having fifteen friends around and dies the second you're one on one.

12th House: Living in a shared dream. Feeling spooky and deep while you both forget where the car is parked. A quiet lonely holy mess that barely exists.

Use planets' zodiac signs Decans (1-3) as tone for your personality, for exemple: I'm a Virgo rising (23º 'aquarius degree'), since it is a late degree '3rd Decan' (20º-29º in Virgo), it is influenced by Venus, meaning Taurus, since Virgo is an earth sign

A Synastry Chart is the interactions between two people; a Composite Chart is the entity; Davison Chart is the final result of that entity. First interaction of the relationship = Synastry; Beginning of the relationship (potential) = Composite Chart; Foundation of the relationship (long-term) = Davison Chart

1st house ruler also tells you a lot about your appearance, not just the ascendant. Also don't forget about the degree it is in and the house it represents

Use asteroids to know more about the specifics, none are actually minor aspects

I strongly suggest to go to astrodienst (astro.com) as your ultimate guide for an accurate birth chart and relationship charts analysis. **Watch for aspects with symbols next to your degrees such as (-), (s) and (a). (-) and (s) symbols are for separate aspects, meaning they're no longer felt. Take them as non-existent, only apply to the sign (a) which literally means applying. This one is active, use it

Persona Charts can be much more accurate then your current Natal Chart, as it is is the persona you decided to adopt through the years. For instance, you might be a natal Aries moon, but in your Moon Persona Chart, you are a Cancer moon and find yourself resonating a lot more with the Cancer moon

Degree facts: Apart from the obvious (Leo 28-29 degree & Cancer 28-29 as household name for fame), if you have Leo 23-24 degree or Virgo 23-24 degree in your Natal Chart, they are considered a fame degree, as they are switched to those very same degrees in the Sidereal Chart. In beauty degrees, look for 9, 18 and 27 degrees & 5, 14 and 23 degrees (note from a professional astrologer). If you have 3º in your Natal Chart, it is considered the degree of comedy, thus making you naturally funny

I strongly suggest as a general rule of thumb to never use an orb higher than 2 degree for relevance, unless the aspects are between two prominent planets or in Scorpio signs (don't go above 3 degree), 0 degree is ideal

Aspects facts: Conjunctions are key, but can be negative. Trines and Sextiles are harmonious but not as strong or as significant as Conjunctions or hard aspects like (Squares and Opposites). Also Quintiles and Bi-Quintiles aren't minor aspects, they are creatively harmonius, sometimes felt just as much as Trines and Sextiles. Semi-sextiles are represented through a push and pull kind of dynamic, not entirely negative but not entirely positive either. Let's bring Parallel and Contra-Parallel (Declination aspects = not immediately felt) in the equation (Parallels are like dynamic Conjunctions and Contra-Parallels are dynamic Opposites, according to astrologer John Wilner)

You are more than just your zodiac sign and house, your degree can tell you as much about your additional tone of personality, for exemple: Aries sun in (20'58º) in the 8th house (20'58º being a cusp, is a Scorpio-Sagittarius degree cusp), meaning the Aries is very Scorpio coded with a bonus 8th house (Scorpio house) and Sagittarius underling also in tone

HOW TO GENERATE CHART:

Step 1: Go to Astro.com

Head over to astro.com.

Step 2: Create Both Individual Profiles

Click "Free Horoscopes" > "Extended Chart Selection".

If you haven't already, create a profile for each person involved under "Add New Astro Data".

Step 3: Create the Davison Relationship Chart

In the Extended Chart Selection menu:

Under "Chart type", select "Davison Relationship Chart" (not the Composite midpoint method, but the real Davison).

Select the two individuals for the chart.

Generate the Davison Chart and Under where it say "Save Default Settings", there should be another option to "Add to "My Astro". (Make sure you don't already have too many profiles or it won't be there).

Click "Add to "My Astro" and the chart should create it's own profile.

Step 4: Generate the North Node Persona Chart

Go back to the main menu and click "Horoscope For". You should see a profile that says "Dav. Rel. (your name) + (their name).

Click that Profile, go under "Chart type", select "Persona Chart" and Generate.

Once you go to the Chart, Click where it says "Moon" and scroll down and select "asc. Lunar Node". Hit "Go" and there is your North Node Persona Chart for your Davison Relationship Chart.

Now that you have your chart; here are some observations/placements to look for:

🎀: Sun in Aries 7th house -> Purpose together: Learning partnership dynamics through independence and courage. Huge lessons around balancing self and relationship without losing identity.

🎀: Moon in Scorpio 2nd house -> Emotional security is tied to loyalty, deep emotional trust, and shared values about money/resources. Can get possessive or jealous if not careful.

🎀: NN Aquarius 8H -> Soul mission about emotional merging, rebirth, collective evolution, deep trust. Might need to revolutionize how you bond, share money, intimacy, or even deal with death/rebirth themes.

🎀: Mars in Cancer 2nd House -> Fighting for emotional security and material stability together. Sometimes passive-aggressive energy if needs aren't directly communicated.

🎀: Sun trine Jupiter -> Big, beautiful luck supporting the relationship's mission. Feels like blessings flow easily when you're aligned.

compatibility astrology

there is multiple ways to check for compatibility when viewing astrology charts. these compatibility charts work for any type of relationship whether it be platonic, romantic, family, etc. some prefer one type of chart over the other but majority of them have a similar overall meaning/purpose. overall my personal preference is composite and coalescent

compatibility charts

ᯓᡣ𐭩 synastry: synastry charts show the aspects between two peoples placements in their chart. it’s meant to tell how each individual feels towards the other and the individual purposes of them meeting one another. if there’s mutual aspects it can also tell about mutual feelings

ᯓᡣ𐭩 composite: composite charts show the midpoints of two peoples placements and is meant to give you an understanding of the overall dynamic of a relationship as well as how the relationship will play out

ᯓᡣ𐭩 multi-composite: this chart is the same as composite except you can add more than just two people. it gives an idea of what the dynamic between an entire group is and how the groups relationship together will play out

ᯓᡣ𐭩 davison: davison charts are a bit similar to composite. they aren’t calculated the same but the idea is then same. they’re meant to show how a relationship plays out. i’ve personally noticed it tends to be more in the public’s eyes than how it plays out to the people personally

ᯓᡣ𐭩 coalescent: these charts can only be found on astro seek and no other astrology websites. similar to composite and davison they’re meant to tell about mutual feelings and dynamics with people. some prefer this chart over other compatibility charts
