This book has been on my list for almost 15 years. I purchased this copy from the Free Library of Philadelphia used book store on 20th Street, circa 2006 when I was working at the Starbucks there. This book is less about Popper or Wittgenstein’s respective takes on philosophy, or their actual encounter, than I had expected. Rather, it treats their encounter as a jumping off point to explore each of their lives, and their very different experiences growing up in Vienna post WW1. Ultimately, the description of their encounter doesn’t pay off as a climax, but it is a perfectly interesting book.
