I used to get so annoyed at women using vocal fry, until I watched a video about creaky voice that explained that men do it, too, but that it's generally not frowned upon the way it is with women. It was hard for me to imagine what that would sound like (precisely because it's never called out in men), until I heard some examples. I'm now pretty sure that Mulder/DD does it in intimate scenes, in which he uses a low rumbling voice, and it's always been one of the hottest things to me. Yep, gender bias.

eigentlich mag ich ja Serien/Filme mit David Duchovny — diese Miniserie hier aber nervt von der ersten Minute an; und zieht sich, was auch nervtötend ist. Ab Halbzeit wird es spannender, obwohl man schon ahnt, worauf das ganze hinaus läuft; die Auflösung ist dann so profan wie dämlich. Als Film hätte das ganze vielleicht funktioniert, als ~ 300 Minuten langer 6teiler eindeutig nicht sehenswert: (4/10) Punkte — schwach
