It's completely possible. That post from Alexander is a week old. If Louis just followed and liked it, that's definitely a possibility.

What other reasons could he have for following him?

Alexander Dreymon's biggest role is in The Last Kingdom. David Dawson also starred in that film (David was in My Policeman with Harry). In TLK, Alexander's character "postpones his personal ambitions for the greater political landscape of a unified realm; his narrative culminates in the eventual reclamation of his ancestral home of Bebbanburg, cementing his legacy as the man who bridged the Saxon and Dane worlds." Maybe some sort of comment on Louis' own years-long battles?

Alexander also had a role as Caspar, a sex worker who had a relationship with queer author/screenwriter Christopher Isherwood (and who later became a Nazi) in the film Christopher and His Kind. A comment on homosexuality? Seems a stretch.

Alexander is married to actress Allison Williams, whose father is former news anchor Brian Williams. Doesn't seem to be much there to connect them.

Alexander had long curly hair at the time of TLK. Maybe he's hinting to H that he should grow his hair again. LOL!

That's about all I know. I highly doubt Louis is watching some het toxic relationship show with Zara. So maybe all he's saying is that he's been watching something much better, and Zara is a liar. And also that Alexander Dreymon is hot. LOL!
