Yeah! The Guest (2014), was it the most groundbreaking movie I have ever seen? No. Was it flirty fun and I understand why people are so obsessed with it? Yes. Dan Stevens is TRULY Acting and I want him. I desire him carnally. The kind of movie that gives you just enough backstory for the plot to let your mind go wild. I do think David went there with "good" intentions I do in fact think he was trying to help but also the man is so so deep in it it wasn't a huge leap to switch to killing everyone when he got "burned."
David: Those kids at school, are they bigger than you? Luke Peterson: Yeah. David: Then bring a knife to school. If they take it off you and beat you up, you go around their houses at night and burn them down with their families inside. What's the worst they can do? Luke Peterson: Yeah... Umm... Okay.
No guy who says this is normal. A guy who says this is so so deep in the spooky military program he escaped from that he is going to be responsible for the destruction of your childhood home and the wholesale slaughter of your parents. He will feel maybe a little bad about it but he is gong to do it anyway. Big fan of how he slides back and forth between charming and predatory. Dangerous Freak.
