can you write dave x plus size reader where like todd and marty are teasing her about her appearance (like in a kinda friendly way) but her feelings still get hurt and dave kinda comforts her after?

message from reminisce-me: this MIGHT be buns… also didn’t mean to antagonize marty (oops) also, tysm anon💗💗
we all sat in atomic comics, the local comic and cafe shop. we were joking around and just mingling.
…all that ended when marty opened his mouth without thinking.
“guys, this is [reader],” said marty, showing something in the shape of… a raindrop?
“wait, what, i don’t get it,” i said, laughing nervously.
marty only laughed harder as he explained, “it’s a whale! get it?”
“oh… oh!” i let out a fake laugh and nodded. “funny.” i say, thought my voice conveyed nothing is funny.
i could tell dave didn’t find it funny at all, since he didn’t laugh at all. after some chatter here and there, me obviously sitting silent—since, what the heck?!— i looked up.
“uhm… i’m pretty sure my parents said i should be home around 9.” i said, nodding. of course my parents didn’t want me going home at 9, but what marty said really hurt. what was he thinking? i mean, i definitely know what i look like, so why’d he think its was fine to bring it up? i stopped thinking about it so i wouldn’t cry. “i should get going.”
dave stood as you did, “i’ll walk you home— well, could i?”
i smiled and nodded. “of course you can.”
“could you… wait for me outside?” he said.
“of course, baby.” i said, walking out the cafe.
“what the hell, dude?” dave huffed. “don’t speak to my girlfriend like that.”
“hey, man, it was just a joke—” marty started, raising his hands in mock surrender.
“no, no, it’s not funny. don’t bring that up again, alright?” he said, looking down at marty whilst todd just looked down at his recently bought comic.
“are you seriously not gonna say anything?” marty looked over at todd.
“nah, man, that’s all you.” todd said, barely looking up with a slight shrug.
“fine, whatever, i’m sorry.” marty said with a slight eye roll.
“yeah, you better be.” said dave, ignoring the crack in his voice. he began walking out.
what was he doing in there? even though i didn’t actually need to be home yet, i would like to go home… maybe cry a bit. pathetic, yeah, but what he said, so casually too, hit a nerve. i see dave walking out and straightened up.
“what took you so long?” i ask.
“uh, nothing.” he said, and began walking.
“…okay.” i say, dragging out the last letter.
we walked home together, since we did live quite close. he walked me to my door, i kissed him softly, he reddened like usual, and i went up to my room after coming inside. once i got back on my computer, there was a missing notification from marty of him apologizing and dave’s goodnight text.
…maybe i do know what took him so long.
