i love this province that I do not live in! seeing avi adam get drafted the other night by a nova scotian and then blayre turnbull run over to give her a hug literally made me sob like a baby. a lot of them grew up in tiny little towns without a lot of exposure to hockey teams at a professional level and for the women, it was ONLY when the national teams would come play and they could watch. i watched a video of mae batherson after she won the walter cup with the frost and they interviewed these two girls and they were so excited that the cup had come to nova scotia. sports unite us all and that is so beautiful 😭😭
