     “Are there any songs your job’s ruined for you? Like, anything that’s been played so many times it’s just irritating now?”

Christ, it’s ugly. The ladies at his knitting class wouldn’t know what to do with themselves if they saw this thing. There's not enough fake sympathy in the world to muster a convincing ‘oh, wow, that’s nice,’ which would be a problem for anyone but Tony because he loves it, in all its hideous glory. Between his initial awe and his effort to pull the sweater over his head the second it was given to him, he barely manages a muffled thank you in her direction. He’s planning to reiterate his graduate once he his head pokes through the collar because this really is a great gift, as thoughtful and ugly as it is, and he knows he’s going to wear this sweater as often as he can because his best friend put in the time to make it for him and there’s nothing more impressive than that. In fact, every time he wears it, he’s going to tell people about how much he appreciates his best friend–
