my dark romantic ass: I don’t feel safer with nobody who can’t kill me. I don’t feel safe with gold retriever energy. If you can’t kill me, I don’t like you. Also if I can’t kill you, I don’t like you.

I have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever and the thing is, none of you can stop me from doing it.

Also if you’re doing those last three, for the love of god stop putting out novels where the white lady somehow has power over the men of color. I do not mean I want to read a Slave x Slave Owner’s wife romance. Don’t make him an aggressive or rapey lover because he’s a man of color. Don’t make her a pure innocent baby to juxtapose against him in a weird racial stereotypey way. I’m also sick of the noble savage plot line, or when the white lady has to “save” him from himself and make him respectable by white-washing him. Keep him morally grey. Make HER morally grey because she recognizes he’s got a point. Also make more FMCs not white too. I will not be satisfied until my bookshelf is woke enough to give my extended family a heart attack, and the authors who have already written these stories so far are way more famous and rich than the current popular dark romance authors.
