#dark ebm

i didn't really "understand" live electronic music fully - what's the point in a live concert if noone is actually playing any instruments? is what i thought but i really get it ever since that concert. the energy in that room was insane, i have never seen so many happy, enthusiastic, wildly dancing people in one place, chanting weird phrases together, having an absolute blast. it was so unbelievably fun. fun is the simplest, most true, best way to describe how amazing it was. fun is usually never this easy for me (don't mean that in a dramatic way. fun and joy just feels different for me). and i've never had THIS much fun dancing before. also the guy was so chill and fun. there was another guy who played drums the ENTIRE time (a few hours) and if you've ever heard a Noisuf-X song you know it's dum ch dum ch dum ch dum ch dum ch LOUDLY, FOR A VERY LONG TIME. i told my drummer friend about this and she was flabbergasted because apparently doing monotone rhythms like this is an extremely difficult skill to achieve. he also looked like he was having the time of his life and slammed the drum sticks veryvery hard.

now to the actual music and why i love Noisuf-X:

he has my favourite samples ever. they are so bizarre and so perfect. i have like 3 that i think about and quote on a nearly daily basis.

there really is something about music that consists of various synths and drums and samples. this sort of music reaches my brain and soul in a way that's hard to describe, like the literal process of thinking a thought has been put into music or some impossible to verbalise thing that i always feel. i like aggrotech for the same reason i like dnb and all similar genres. aggrotech is way darker and cleaner and synthier than dnb. it captures that feeling of a certain level of capacity of awfulness being exceeded and feeling complete desperation and hopefulness but in a sort of removed, all-knowing way. sorry if that was a stupid way to phrase/explain this but that's the closest verbalisation i can make of how this music makes me feel

i used to be very annoyed that every club and every event almost exclusively played industrial and cyber stuff since i was only REALLY into more trad stuff back then but that has changed a lot
