Miraculous Tales of Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Cainis! (Disabled but Able A/U). Episode Name: Dark Cupid.

A reminder/note for this A/U, Marinette is Autistic, Adrien is Diabetic (Type 1), and Max is Blind. Marinette has a therapy cat named Miki (Angora, white fur, one eye is blue and the other is yellow) who turns into a black raven with scattered red feathers on her body and green eyes, and is called Ladybird in this form (yes, Marinette is Ladybug while Miki is Ladybird. Why? Because it’s funny and both reference the same beetle yet oddly on point on who gets which name 🤭).

Another note for this A/U is that the episode timeline is going to be a bit different from the others with some episodes being ‘out of order’. Two of those episodes being ‘out of order’ is Dark Cupid and Volpina, where the latter takes place before the former. Meaning… Lila is part of the Miracuclass for Valentine’s Day… 😒. And yes, there’s going to be drama because of her…

Last note for this A/U is that Lila is trying to be Marinette’s BFF rather than ‘Adrien’s girlfriend’, because Marinette is weirdly good at befriending famous people w/o realising/knowing it (points at Jagged Stone as one example). This means that in this A/U her animosity is actually targeted towards Adrien rather than Marinette. So… The unwanted attention Lila is doing is on Marinette, who… Does NOT like it! Miki also doesn’t like Lila (enough to actually hiss at her and has attempt to bite her a few times, and this cat DOESN’T hiss or bite anyone! Even Kim when he accidentally pulled her tail once).

Now to the actual outline of this episode for this A/U!

The 14th of February starts out like any other day for our Heroes. Marinette and Miki (mostly Marinette) are packing the traditional V-day baked goods for their classmates. Adrien is happy that he has a day off from modelling and was hoping to spend it with his friends (and give them some sugar-free V-day chocolate that was waaaay too pricey to just be a “V-Day gift”. Adrien means well, but the boy DOES need to be taught about finance and that the most “expensive thing” doesn’t always equal to “the best” of those things).

Max, on the other hand, was not starting the day off well… All of Markov’s debugging, defragging, anti-spy program, and general program system checks started this morning. And all of that would take the bulk of the day so Max had to leave him behind, then Max’s phone decided that it would be doing a system update as soon as he arrived at Dupont. So… Max only has his laptop to record the day’s class lessons. Cumbersome, but doable. Besides, Max had something important for Miss Bustier to listen to that was on it.

But at least it was Valentine’s Day, so… More focus on the holiday than school rn.

Add… Drama is already brewing… Unwanted drama that Marinette could really do without…

Yes, Lila is causing trouble, but… Miss Bustier is seeing her actions as “helpful” and “friendly”… Even if Marinette DID NOT ASK for Lila to hand out the V-Day Baked Goods for her… And Lila is invading Marinette’s personal space, a lot!

(Autistic!Marinette likes her personal space and doesn’t like people touching her w/o her consent or a logical reason [like a crowded pathway or space] so… Yeah, one of the reasons why Marinette doesn’t like Lila is that she clings to her).

Nino, once again, tries to gently remind Lila that Marinette doesn’t like it when people invade her personal space. To which Lila brushes off and also tries to put words in Marinette’s mouth (which she also hates). Nino is getting more suspicious of Lila, as well as worried about his childhood friend, by this point.

Of course, Adrien tries to intervene between Lila and Marinette, but Lila does her little crocodile tears act.

Marinette has to leave the classroom due to the loud noise! (Yet another reason why she doesn’t like Lila, she’s always too loud!). But instead of the restroom, she heads outside and hides under the school bleachers (it’s one of her ‘cool down’ spots at Dupont). Miki calms her human down while Tiki talks to Marinette about the situation.

Of course, Lila tries to “find her BFF”, but isn’t having any luck within the school. Happens to hear Max talking to Miss Bustier about the time that Lila has taken up during class lessons and that he has the data on his laptop. Ofc, Lila can’t have that, so she devises a plan to ‘fix’ that.

Kim is unusually distracted today. Because, ofc, he’s been trying to confess to Max for a long time, but… Shite keeps happening and messing all those up.

Lila, smelling a perfect opportunity, decides to us him in her ploy.

Kim, being the not-so-bright himbo he is, doesn’t think anything could be wrong with this ‘Love Expert’ plan to finally confess to Max!

PE is about to start, everyone puts their stuff in their lockers, lock them, PE happens, PE ends, Miss Bustier’s class returns to the locker room, and… Max can’t find his pack! He was sure he put it in his locker! And once his classmates confirmed this, Armand was called to investigate.

Kim, thinking that Lila left Max that nice song recording of his meet-up at the Eiffel Tower to get cones from Andre, was already at location and was waiting for Max to show.

However, at school… Max, ofc, is NOT enjoying the day… No Markov, no phone, and now no pack with all of his important stuff had just been stolen! Worst Valentine’s Day ever!

Miss Bustier tells Max to stay in her classroom while the staff searches for his pack.

The rest of the Miracuclass have to wonder why someone would steal Max’s pack… After all, his locker/pack had all his ‘books’ (which were actually audio tapes), his laptop had a specialised lock that only Max can open, and a lunch. Sure the laptop might’ve been the target, because expensive tech, but that wouldn’t ‘work’ for anyone but Max… Was it just a prank?

Kim, getting a little worried, tries calling Max, but is only getting his Voicemail (since his phone is currently updating). And as more time passes, the more he thinks that he’s been stood up. He clenches the V-Day gift that he got for Max.

Cue Hawkmoth, his speech, him sending off an Akuma Butterfly, and Kim gets Akumatised into Dark Cupid.

Akuma Alert goes out.

Adrien manages to slip away to transform into Chat Noir, but Marinette can’t… Not with Lila clinging to her (uncomfortably so).

Miki, being the clever cat she is, manages to knock over a bottle of an energy drink that happened to be next to where Lila was standing, and getting it all over her shirt.

This gets Lila to leave to clean that off, and gives Marinette the opportunity to find a place to transform and head out (🤭). Not to mention get away from Lila. Soon Ladybug and Ladybird are heading off towards the Akuma.

Yadda, yadda. Plot fight happens. Yadda, yadda. Dark Cupid manages to slip away while Chat and the Ladies (Ladybug and Ladybird, get it?) are distracted.

Both Ladybug and Chat Noir try to figure out why Kim got Akumatised and where the Akuma Object could be.

Meanwhile, Max is still in the classroom, lamenting over the day, and is completely unaware of the current situation. Then his phone finally finishes updating, and this is where he finds out about the Akuma attack. Ofc, he tells Barrk that they need to help, but…

Dark Cupid suddenly appears in the classroom.

And since his voice didn’t change when he got Akumatised, Max is completely unaware of the fact that Kim is the Akuma and is talking to his friend as he would normally.

Barrk, on the other hand, is very much freaking out about this whole thing! They can’t warn their Holder and risk an identity reveal in front of the Akuma, but they can’t let Max get hurt!

Dark Cupid readies his bow & arrow to strike.

Max, still unaware of the situation, is confused by the… Sudden anger from “Kim”. The ‘not answering the phone’ thing was an easy explication to give, but when did Kim ask Max to meet him at the Eiffel Tower for Ice cream?

That was when Max asked “Kim” if he told him about this ‘ice cream outing’ before or after someone took his pack from his locker.

Dark Cupid pauses in his actions when he asks when that happened.

When Max tells him that someone broke into his locker during PE, Dark Cupid realises that Lila has tricked him!

So Dark Cupid tells Max to stay here while he “gives that so-called love expert a piece of his mind.” Then flies of to follow through on that.

The moment Dark Cupid is gone, Barrk tells Max what he saw. Somewhat adding that Kim was upset that Max stood him up on the date.

Ofc, Max is confused by this, but tells Barrk that they need to transform and join up. So that’s what they do. (Markov is somehow able to reunite as Sirius, but everyone chalks it up to the Miraculous’ doing).

Yadda, yadda. Canis joins up with Chat and the Ladies and explains what he knows (omitting the fact that Dark Cupid told him this directly, since the Heroes don’t know each other’s IDs at this point). Then they all search for Dark Cupid.

Yadda, yadda. Dark Cupid finds Lila. Yadda, yadda. Heroes show up b4 anything too bad happens. Yadda, yadda. Lila escapes. Yadda, yadda. Heroes get the Akuma Object, break it, capture the Akuma Butterfly, purify it, and then use the Miraculous Cure to fix everything.

Kim is a little confused and wondering why he was here. The Heroes take him back to Dupont.

The Heroes (who de-transformed separately) returned to the school and essentially talked to Kim along with the rest of the Miracuclass to figure out what happened. And…

Kim doesn’t completely remember thanks to the Akuma, which is a normal thing, but for some strange reason… He tells the others that they shouldn’t trust Lila.

That… Was kind of weird… Kim doesn’t remember why he’s saying not to trust Lila, but he still has some kind of lingering feelings from when he was Akumatised…

Which brings up the question of ‘where is Lila?’ Since she’s not around for some reason.

Being her blunt self, Marinette states that she doesn’t know and as long as Lila is away from her, she doesn’t care. This did somewhat baffled the rest of the class.

Kim and Nino comment that Lila HAS been a little too clingy with Marinette despite being told to stop and that Nette doesn’t like it. Nino also adds that it seemed like Lila was also putting words in Marinette’s mouth a few times. Adrien was more than happy to agree with, along with Chloe, surprisingly enough.

The rest of the Miracuclass couldn’t help but do a double-take with Chloe, because, it’s Chloe, and wonder at this.

Lila is at her home, deciding that she didn’t want to continue with school for a week and was already fabricating the needed ‘paperwork’ to give herself the time off.

Meanwhile, in the Teacher’s Lounge…

Ms Mendeleiev could not suppress her dismay and anger at what she and the other staff members were looking at on the main table.

Max’s laptop… Max’s destroyed laptop…

Who could have done such a thing?

That was when Miss Bustier remembered that Max told her about the recordings he had on his laptop, the ones regarding how much of the classes Lila takes up with her stories. She tells her co-workers about this and wonders if it has to do with this incident.

But the immediate issue is telling Max about his laptop…

And that ends that Dark Cupid~.

Marked by the Soul. (ML/YJ crossover). Episode Name: Cupid’s Mark.

Thanks to Soulmarks being a thing… The bulk of the Romance Drama in the canon ML is completely cut out due to the couples already being together by this point.

So…

Not much really happens plot-wise 😅.

This episode is essentially a filler episode where the Romantic Matches try to have a nice Valentine’s Day with their Matches. Both the members of the JL and the Young Justice Team.

Sorry, but… 😅 Let’s give the couples a nice day off from the hero stuff and have no villains cause any trouble.

Jason Blood is spending his Valentine’s Day going through photos and sketches of his loved ones from the past. Etrigan isn’t as… ‘Vocal’ about this reminiscing as usual. He somewhat understand this ‘holiday’ but not his thing.

Jason then stops on the last picture that was taken of him, his wife, and daughter.

Etrigan only responds with, “What is hidden cannot remain so for long in this day of ages. It won’t be long until that time comes when all fails those so-called sages.”

All Jason can respond with is, “I know…”

Well… A bit of a downer for a Valentine’s Day episode, but I have an overarching plot in Marked by the Soul that I want to get to! But writing it’s been… Slow 😓…

They’re Twins!!! (Dupain-Cheng Marinette and Max). Episode Name: Cupid’s Reign.

Valentine’s Day starts off like normal for the Dupain-Cheng family. And the usual baked good from Tom & Sabine’s to celebrate the holiday. Which Marinette and Max bring to class.

Adrien (bless his innocent soul) spend the past week crafting the “Perfect Valentine’s Gift” to convey his feelings for Ladybug. Which, ofc, he has managed to hide from his Father and Nathalie. The Gorilla, on the other hand, knows about that gift but doesn’t report it, since to him, there’s no reason to tell Gabe and what’s wrong with letting Adrien doing something himself for Valentine’s Day? (The Gorilla doesn’t know who’s getting that Valentine’s Day card and he respects Adrien enough to give him that space).

The school day starts out like any other, aside from the whole Valentine’s Day Holiday. Miss Bustier going over the tale of Sleeping Beauty (If we’re talking the OG fairy tale, I can see it being taught in a high school, but not the Disney version or any of the “sugar-coated” versions that were specifically tailored for little kids. So… IDK if this was an oversight by the writers, who were most likely more focused on “romance for the holiday”, or them forgetting that Dupont is canonically a high school, but… 😑) and other classic tales of romance.

Ofc, the school is trying to celebrate Valentine’s Day, but…

You bet Hawkmoth is going to take advantage of all that anxiety! And goes after the one with the most! The Akuma Butterfly soars towards its target.

Fred Haprele had never been so nervous before! This is a whole new thing for him. And what made it worse… He had no idea what Mylene will think!

Yup! Surprise! Fred’s the Akuma for this episode! And he’s not the Mime!

Yadda yadda, Hawkmoth goads this soon-to-be Akuma into spreading Love (technically non-consenting) all over Paris so no one’s feeling can never be rejected (Again, non-consenting. Which is going to completely fall on Hawkmoth btw). Fred is too wrapped up in his anxieties that he’s not thinking clearly, accepts.

(Currently working on this Akuma’s appearance and Name 😏).

Yadda yadda, plot stuff happens. Ladybug and Chat Noir head out to take down the Akuma.

Max, on the other hand, managed to avoid the Akuma while trying to collect data for the Heroes as “Coccinellidae”.

(Need to hammer out the finer details and the actual fight) (Also the actual outline on this, but I know that Hawkmoth is on the chopping block for the whole non-consenting love for this one).

So…

Poor Adrien realises too late that he forgot his Valentine’s Day card to Ladybug in his bag and is bummed out. He quickly hides it when he hears Chloe and Sabrina coming in before leaving with them.

The Gorilla is there to pick up Adrien, along with Chloe and Sabrina.

When the Gorilla returns to the driver’s side, he finds a V-Day Card to him on the seat. Ofc, the Gorilla looks around for anyone close to see who it could have been.

The Gorilla picks up the card, smiles, carefully places the card in his inner blazer pocket, gets into the driver’s seat, and then drives off with Chloe and Sabrina somewhat teasing him.

Mylene peeks around the corner to watch the car leave before she giggles as she wonders if her dad will realise that she already knows and is trying to help him. (If you’ve read my fic “Parental Figure”… Can we please get the Gorilla x Fred ship going? 😂).

And we can end it there, for the episode until I can hammer out the details 😅.

Miraculous Juuni. (ML/Juuni Taisen). Episode Name: Cupid’s Mystery.

No Akuma for this. Just high school shenanigans that just happen to involve Valentine’s Day.

😏, so~…

Each of the members of the Miracuclass (which is technically twice the size with more students) find these personalised Valentine’s Day Card (and their favourite treats) on their assigned desk.

Ofc, the Miracuclass tries to figure out who the mysterious cupid is.

Which is basically the plot of the entire episode, 🤭.

Ofc, the Twins try to turn this into a scam, that no one really falls for, per usual.

But the Miracuclass does try to figure out who the sender of these cards and treats from the items in question by working together.

(I should outline this more).

But I do have the ending for this planed~ 😏.

Meh, a little short but… I figure that I give these teens a nice day and let them solve a non-Akuma related.

Yeeted into a New Life. (ML/Naruto, where the Sasuke from the Naruto World gets yeeted into the Miraculous A/U with some familiar faces). Episode Name: Valentine’s Trouble.

Long story short, Sasuke DOES NOT LIKE Valentine’s Day, even before coming to this world.

Marinette wirily tells Sasuke that “her Sasuke” also doesn’t like Valentine’s Day, which… Yeah, that doesn’t surprise This Sasuke.

The Dupain-Cheng Duo (mostly Marinette) grab the usual V-Day treats for their class before they leave for school.

And… As Sasuke expected, he was dodging the female student body of Dupont the entire morning. With Miss Bustier’s Class being his only “safe zone”, since the unrelated girls in his class don’t have a crush on him. (Ie, Mylene is with Ivan, Rose and Juleka are with each other, Alix isn’t interested in boys, Chloe is only interested in boys with exceptional titles [at least that’s what she claims], Sabrina has stated that Sasuke wasn’t her type, and Hinata… Well, Sasuke doesn’t know what she thinks of him due to her shy nature, but he does know that she doesn’t have a crush on him).

Ofc, the bulk boys of the Miracuclass tease Sasuke about the ‘popularity’. The older Dupain-Cheng just wants the day to end. The younger gives her brother a sympathetic pat on the back.

Adrien is having the same luck as Sasuke, but since the teen has been trained, er, taught to be polite to everyone… Yeah, he ends up late to class with more Valentines stuff than he can carry…

This kinda worries the class since… Where was Adrien expected to keep all of those during the school day? And would that all fit in the Gorilla’s car? (Serious question. He was given a LOT of Valentine’s Day stuff, and this was just the morning!).

Day goes on, Sasuke dodges more girls, and… Lunch was a well earned break.

It’s also where Marinette, Sasuke, Nino, and Kim learn that Kiba has a massive crush on Shino. Which… Was not really too hard to find out and didn’t really need the admission to know.

Kim completely sympathises with Kiba, somewhat admitting his own crush on Max. That… Also wasn’t hard for Nino, Marinette, and Sasuke to figure out in all honesty…

Yeah… Sasuke, Nino, and Marinette outright told Kim and Kiba that they’ve known about these crushes for a while. Sasuke even stated that he didn’t even need “his memories” to figure those out and wonder how their crushes haven’t caught onto it yet.

Ofc, both Kim and Kiba are embarrassed about this.

Meanwhile, Naruto is somewhat ranting/complaining about “Sasuke not getting his memories back by now” to Shino, who is more reading his entomology book than listening to Naruto. Ofc, Naruto is annoyed by this, but Shino cites that if he wants to have an audience for his ‘childish antics’, find someone who would be interested.

When Naruto asks Shino if he even cares about Sasuke “getting his memories back”, Shino replies that amnesia is a tricky thing and Sasuke has to go at his own pace when it comes to “his memories coming back”.

Ofc, Naruto still doesn’t like that answer at all.

Yadda, Yadda, day goes on. Yadda, yadda, some of the girls are getting frustrated with not getting at Sasuke. Yadda, yadda, take a guess who’s going to make Sasuke’s day worse.

Yeah… Hawkmoth’s going to be a bastard and take advantage of this situation. He sends out an Akuma Butterfly to “finally” (not!) get him the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous.

And… When Kiba takes a Valentine’s Day Gift from Sakura and Ino to stop them from fighting (this time), the Akuma Butterfly sinks into the Gift, and Hawkmoth goads him into getting Akumatise. Ofc, Sakura and Ino run away to sound the Akuma Alarm.

Ofc, Adrien sneaks away to transform into Chat Noir, while Marinette and Sasuke sneak away to do the same. (Plus, Sasuke can use this to get away from the girls).

Yadda, Yadda, plot happens. Yadda, yadda, plot fight. Yadda, yadda, Akuma manages to give the Heroes the slip while they’re distracted.

Shino is in the park with his entomology book in hand, staring at the nearby insect life in fascination.

Akuma swoops in, scaring everyone in the area to run away. But, ofc, Shino doesn’t notice because he’s too focused on the bugs.

Ofc, since Shino too focused on the bugs to notice that Kiba got Akumatised and is having a completely normal conversation with “Kiba”, who is just… Kinda vibing with the talk with his crush.

And this gives the Heroes the opportunity to snatch the Akuma Object, break it, capture Butterfly, purify it, and cast the Miraculous Cure.

Shino is confused as to why the Heroes are here, as far as he was aware, there was no reason for them to be around.

No one is willing to tell him what happened, since… Kiba seems happy to be with his crush.

The school day ends and Sasuke is glad to be going home! And plans to hold up in his room for the rest of Valentine’s Day. Marinette tells him that he’s being overdramatic, at least until he points out the girls lurking around to “surprise him”.

Adrien is a bit depressed that he wasn’t able to give Ladybug his Valentine’s Day gift. But he finds a rather lovely but unsigned Valentine’s Day Card in his bag. A little Ladybird bug flies in through the open window and lands on the card, sits on it for a few seconds, and then flies off.

Ofc, this causes Adrien to believe that the card is from Ladybug. Plagg tells his Holder that he might be reaching on that.

And… I’m satisfied with this, so.

And lastly… The Transformers/ML crack! (Self-explanatory). Episode Name: Valentine’s Day Mix. (Reminder, the Heroes learn that Ms Mendeleiev can see and hear the Transformers in their chibi forms in Gamerz, which happens After this episode.)

Mainly the Transformers learning about Valentine’s Day and the traditions involved as that day draws near.

But as we all know 😏, things are never that simple with THESE characters.

Also, Team Miraculous (including the adults who know at this point) get to learn some interesting Cybertronian terminology that kinda/sorta apply to Valentine’s Day in some way.

The biggest one being ‘Conjunx Endura’, which the Transformers basically say is similar to Tom Dupain and Sabine Cheng’s relationship. Essentially Conjunx Endura = Married Couple.

And this is also where the humans learn that Knock-Out and Breakdown are Conjunx Endura.

Which… Does technically surprise them, but not in a “shocking twist reveal” sort of way… It’s more of a “Wait?! We thought you were just lovers/a couple!! You’ve actually been married this whole time!!?” Kind of way.

Anyway, mostly pre-V-Day hijinks ensue with... Things not ending how they planned.

Later… The Teens and the Transformers ends up at rather ‘interesting’ establishment that serves weird combination of food/snacks and drinks for all ages called ‘Mix it Up!’. It looks like it’s been here a long time, but none of the Team has noticed it before. Sure, it’s weird, but everyone there seems to be enjoying the place.

And they end up meeting the elderly owner of the place, Alphonse (or just Al for short), making some colourful drinks for a couple of patrons before spotting the teens.

Al whips the teens up some strange juice and soda drinks for them to enjoy, before they even looked through the menu options.

Ofc, the strange concoctions put the teens off. The Transformers, on the other servo, weren’t sure what to think of this.

Al encourages the teens to try them and switch the drinks around to find one they want before headed off to make more orders.

After being told by the regulars that Al’s drink combinations are weird but they were fun to try and some of them are pretty good, the teens give the drinks a shot.

The first round, DID NOT taste good! So they swapped and tried the next drinks. Still yuck! So swapped drinks again, while keeping track of who already drank what.

It takes a few tries, but then each teen found a drink that they somewhat enjoyed.

Al somehow appears with a tray full of drinks and places the mixed drinks in front of each teen, surprisingly, it was the combination that each of them liked!

Ofc, the teens asked Al how he knew this. To which, Al replied cheerfully that he keeps an eye on everyone in his establishment before heading off to fulfill other orders.

“Weird guy, but he’s nice,” was the unanimous statement from the teens.

However… The Transformers couldn’t help but find the guy familiar in some way, but they don’t know why.

The teens thought about the changing drinks to find one that they liked and realised something that they could do for Valentine’s Day.

After they pay their tab, Al happily tells them before they leave, “When you’re at Dupont. Tell Ollie her old man says hi!”. Which was… Very weird… Or rather, weirder. How did he know they attended Dupont?

When Valentine’s Day comes around, our Heroes decided to do a puzzle piece exchange rather than the typical cards. And it was kind of more fun than cards too!

Chloe couldn’t help but ask out loud while they were on their way to the Science Class, “But seriously, who’s this Ollie? No one at DuPont has that name.”

Oh yeah… Good point.

Miss Bustier and Ms Mendeleiev overheard the comment and the redheaded teacher smiled when she said, “Oh, did all of you go to the establishment owned by Olga’s father?”

“Who’s Olga?” Was the unanimous response to that.

Ms Mendeleiev seemed oddly preoccupied when she stated dryly, “That’s my given name. Olga Mendeleiev.” She huffed before she added in an annoyed tone, “But my dad still likes to call me ‘Ollie’ even after I told him that he doesn’t need to.”

Wait a minute… Ms Mendeleiev’s dad owns that “Mix It Up” place!!!? Mr Al is Ms Mendeleiev’s dad!!

Oh, THAT’s how he knew they were Dupont students!

Then Ms Mendeleiev tells them not to dally and to get to class. Which they do.

The day continues as usual. But the Transformers (Decepticons mostly) couldn’t help but comment how dissimilar Ms Mendeleiev is to her sire/father.

For some reason… The science teacher is detracted… Did she have Valentine’s Day plans that she was thinking of or something? And did she even bother celebrating this holiday?

One of Ms Mendeleiev’s brows twitched as she wonders how Miss Bustier can’t hear or see those robots that are clearly in the room.

And “Mix It Up” end up as a semi-regular hang out for the Miracuclass, that makes Al Mendeleiev a reoccurring character. Even if I didn’t activity write it in the rest of Season 1 (Since it would hard to explain that w/o this ep), but going to start adding it in Season 2.
