“Lucy: the Hidden Treasure of Ethiopia” With this project I’m looking to combine my passion for anthropology and animation. The Lucy fossil (Australopithecus Afarensis) was found in 1974 to much discussion and debate - It is now recognized as one of the earliest members of the human ancestry. Despite countless studies done on the specimen, it’s impossible to determine whether the creature possessed any kind of emotionality or consciousness. With this, i’m looking to explore the question: Could it be possible that Lucy, deep down, carried the human condition with her? What do you guys think The idea of having a character that is past being just an animal but still not quite human is very appealing to me. Maybe one day we’ll bring Lucy to life in her own animated adventure
