Matt Murdock headcannons with Vigilante!reader
So first, I feel like Matt would be unsure about the whole relationship thing. But he’d eventually warm up and be more affectionate and kind.
while reader is at work (rather that being with Matt, Foggy, or Karen.) he would bring them flowers, lunch, or coffee. Or simply sit with them and just be, for once.
you’re pretty intelligent. And it’s no surprise to him that you figured out Matt being Daredevil pretty fast. So after you figured that out and you talked with him about it (and how you’ve encountered eachother while suited up!!). He would leave you things while out on patrol by your window. A box with a necklace with a note that reads “from your love in the red pajamas” the necklace is made with gunmetal and a red gemstone of some sort. It’s not quite a ruby. But it’s still beautiful. B
You love your music. You’ll zone out with earbuds in while playing with the wire of them. It reminds you of simpler times. Before you became what you are now. Something like California Dreaming by The Mamas and The Papas, Floorboards by McCafferty, Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush, or Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy) by John Lennon would come on and it would give you peace while sitting at the apartment windowsill. Eventually. Matt would sit with you. Gently having a hand find your shoulder. You look up taking an earbud out and pausing the music. “You alright?” Matt would ask as he brushes his thumb against your shoulder. You’d nod and say “Yeah, just taking some time to simply, be. It’s calming.” He’d smile as he wraps an arm around you. “Mind if I join?” You hand him an earbud letting your head fall to his shoulder. It’s calling. He smells like sawtooth cologne and something that’s uniquely him.
You have a habit of not eating sometimes. You’re either too focused on training or patrol or whatever’s going on to even think about it. And Matt? He’s not having that. He’ll run the entire way to your place or wherever you are just to make sure you’ve got food in you. Even if it’s something small. He’s just happy that youre eating (even if he has to feed you bites here and there becuase you’re focused on files)
Matt would prefer calls over texts. He can feel the ink on a paper to understand what it says but a phone is a different story. He’ll be able to use the voice assistant to send a call to you to hear your voice. One that he absolutely adores. He’ll ask you how your day is, how you’re feeling, or what your looking foward too, and if you’d like to go out for dinner tonight.
