Favorite Darbi villain/story-ark and why? 👀👀👀 (Me personally, nothing and I mean NOTHING will ever top when those Invading posers tried to Invade Alarshit with their messed up cleansing nonsense. Literally the definition of hype-moments and aura! Prennum, OH MY LORD I wish we got more of that bastard. Top-notch villain, was so satisfying seeing Mal feed that piece of shit to the crock.)
I have to admit that I haven't read the comic again since it ended a while back, so my memory of most of the events is pretty fuzzy lol. I swear it took me a while to figure out who was who and what everything was called 😅.
(Not to mention that awful Webtoon system of making the comic pay-to-read again and resetting the chapters to start over with those time gaps between chapters).
Of course, my favorite villain has to be Big Bad Mezmer. That damn bastard and megalomaniac—he really made sure to keep me glued to my seat with every new trick he pulled out of his sleeve. He made me feel true despair when it seemed like everything was under his control, and he had a counterattack for anything anyone could possibly think of against him. It was certainly quite a nerve-wracking time waiting between chapters to see if things would get better or go even further to hell.
Plus, I think his design is amazing. He’s maybe one of the most aesthetically pleasing dinosaurs I can name from the comic, which is, to a certain extent, a compliment 😅.
Of course, the crazy guy driven by power hunger, religious fanaticism, racism, and sectarianism—but cooler. Even his relationship with his daughter Dolla. Well, he deserved for her to deliver the final blow when he finally became pathetic and “normal.”
Oh yeah, I agree about those two Pterosaurs—as villains, they were also a total pain in the ass, and seeing them get their comeuppance at the hands of Mal and his allies was incredibly satisfying.
Now, since I don’t remember the arcs very well, I can’t say exactly which one was my favorite.
But in my heart, that mini-arc after Dolla’s departure/betrayal and her joining her father’s troops remains. Where the protagonists end up in another reality where they’re human—I genuinely cried during that part. And even more so with the revelation of that other plane where one of the sisters who had died earlier was still there in some way, still “watching over” them even though their remains were in a museum... yeah, fuck. Don't expect to cry while reading a comic about rude dinosaurs who have sex, pee on each other, and do drugs.
